🍼 1️⃣ Vomiting After Switching Formula You changed from Pre Nan to Nan 1. For premature babies: Pre Nan is specially designed (easier digestion, higher calories). Nan 1 is for full-term babies. A premature baby’s gut is still immature. Switching suddenly can cause: Vomiting Gas Diarrhea Irritability Vomiting after every feed is not normal. 💧 2️⃣ Watery Diarrhea After Bonisan Bonisan is an Ayurvedic gripe water–type digestive. In tiny premature babies: It can disturb gut Can cause loose stools Watery stools + vomiting = risk of dehydration. This is the main concern. 🚨 Red Flags (Very Important) Go to pediatrician immediately if: Baby passes urine less than 5–6 times/day Crying without tears Very sleepy Sunken soft spot on head Fever Green or projectile vomiting Premature babies dehydrate fast. 🩺 What To Do Now 1️⃣ Stop Bonisan immediately. 2️⃣ Do NOT keep switching formulas again and again without pediatric advice. 3️⃣ Consult pediatrician urgently and ask: Should baby go back to Pre Nan? Is lactose intolerance suspected? Does baby need hydrolyzed formula? 4️⃣ Feed smaller quantity more frequently. Burp properly. Keep baby upright 20–30 minutes after feed. ⚠️ Important Vomiting after every feed in a 2-month premature baby watery diarrhea irritability = Needs doctor evaluation, not pharmacist advice.
