Seeking Ayurvedic Help for Open Angle Glaucoma - #52201

Client_6e1abc

My father has an open angle glaucoma. He has had several surgeries since 2022 and was prescribed "ganfort" eye drops to regulate the eye pressure. In july 2025, he had a Macular oedema in both eyes. Then after a surgery on the right eye, he only used the ganfort in the left eye. He notices within a short period of time that the pressure in the right eye had stabilized while the one in the left eye was increasing. Currently his vision acuity is at 2% on the left eye and intra occular tension is at 12. How much can Ayurveda help?

Thanks a ton for pointing me in the right direction. Your advice to see a specialist was exactly what I needed to hear.

Thanks, this was so helpful! Your suggestion really put my mind at ease. I’m trying the steam inhalation & it’s already helping a bit!
