●Main causes of eye irritation • Staring at mobile phones or screens late into the night • Increased bile in the body • Excessive pressure on the liver • Lack of sleepWhy does the eyes feel heavy? • Accumulation of toxins in the body • Delayed digestion of food • Eating heavy food at night • Insufficient bowel movements in the morningAccording to Ayurveda, this is related to: • Eyes - associated with bile • Liver - associated with blood and bile • Poor digestion, leading to a burning sensation and heaviness in the eyesWhat to do to keep your eyes healthy • Eat a light meal at night • Wash your eyes with cold water in the morning • You can rinse your eyes with Triphala water Don’t look at your mobile phone late at night
This is usually due to imbalance in: Pitta → eye sensitivity, burning, watering Vata → dryness Triphala wash Use Triphala water Wash eyes once daily (lukewarm, filtered properly) at morning 1–2 drops of pure गुलाब जल (sterile) at night Rx- Saptamrit Lauh 250 mg twice a day after meal. Triphala Ghrita 5gm daily empty stomach at morning and at bedtime. Do gently: Palming (rub hands, cover eyes) Blinking exercise Focus near → far object 👉 5–10 minutes daily.
