I am really worried about the honey I bought recently. I thought I was getting some pure honey, but now I’m doubting it because it doesn’t taste like the honey I used to have as a kid. My friend told me some things about how to check honey is pure or not, like whether it dissolves quickly in water or if it crystallizes over time, but I’m not too sure what I should look for. I did a few little tests, like the water test and the spoon test, and neither seemed foolproof to me. Sometimes it seems to be, like, thick and hard to mix, while other times its too watery. And the label said “100% pure,” but I’ve heard that sellers can lie about that. Do you guys think the color really matters? Honestly, I just want to make sure I’m not consuming something that’s, like, loaded with sugar or syrup instead of actual honey. Also, I read somewhere that if you burn it, real honey won’t leave any residue, but it didn't convince me much. Just a little confused on, like, how to check honey is pure or not and what methods are reliable? Any help would be amazing!

Always inspect the label for any added ingredients - if it’s truly labeled “100% pure,” there should be no additional components listed.
