What to do about having bad dreams after eating desi ghee? - #56022
I am having constantly a lot of bad dreams since the time i am taking desi ghee with food -----------
Doctors' responses
Yes, that can happen in some people. In Ayurveda, excessive or unsuitable use of desi ghee may increase tamas or disturb digestion (agni), especially if: -the quantity is too much, -digestion is weak, -ghee is taken at night/heavy meals, or the body already has excess kapha or ama (toxins/undigested food). ----This may lead to: vivid dreams, disturbing sleep, heaviness in head/body, acidity or bloating, mental dullness/restlessness. –Advice (Pathya): Stop/reduce desi ghee for 7 days Light dinner before 8 PM Avoid fried, heavy, curd, and spicy food at night Warm water after meals Avoid mobile/screens late night —Medicine: 1) Saraswatarishta – 15 ml + equal water after dinner × 30 days 2) Brahmi Vati – 1 tab at bedtime × 30 days 3) Avipattikar Churna – 3 gm after lunch & dinner with lukewarm water × 15 days (if acidity/heaviness present) —Sleep advice: 1 pinch Jaiphal powder in warm milk/water at night —Follow up: After 15 days.
