This is a classic sign of vata imbalance affecting the colon, causing dryness and sluggish digestion. Increase fiber, warm liquids, and take Triphala for regular bowel movements. Also, Aloe vera and Ghee may soothe the digestive system and reduce hemorrhoid pain. Get an opinion from Ayurveda surgeon.

Sounds quite uncomfortable. When stools are consistently hard, it often signals some imbalance. Ayurveda sees this through the lens of Vata dosha, responsible for dryness, roughness, and all things airy. When Vata is aggravated, you get hard stools, pain, and even that annoying burning sensation in your stomach.

First thing, I’d suggest is to focus on your diet. Eating warm, cooked foods can help balance Vata. Try having kitchari, a mix of rice and moong dal, which is super easy to digest. Add a bit of ghee which helps lubricate your intestines, making things move smoother. Oh, avoid cold, raw foods; they just make things worse.

For immediate relief, try Triphala churna. It’s an herbal formulation revered in Ayurveda for its ability to support bowel movements. Take about 1 teaspoon with warm water at bedtime but don’t overdo it, maybe try this every other day.

Hydration is important, of course, even though you’re already drinking so much water, it might not be absorbed evenly if Vata is out of whack. Drink warm or room-temperature water, and consider adding a pinch of salt to one glass a day to promote absorption.

Your lifestyle plays a big part too. Avoid suppressing natural urges (like you know, when you gotta go, you gotta go), and try to manage stress levels. Pranayama, specifically alternate nostril breathing, can pacify Vata nicely.

One more thing, soak 2-3 figs in warm water overnight and eat them on an empty stomach in the morning. They’re great for improving bowel movements.

About the blood and pain with hemorrhoids, using a sitz bath could help. Just sit in warm water for about 15 minutes daily. And pay attention to your urge to strain while passing stools, it can make hemorrhoids worse.

If things don’t start improving, make sure to get a check-up with a health professional. Persisting symptoms shouldn’t be ignored.
