It's frustrating when knee pain doesn’t seem to go away, right? Jumping into Ayurveda, we could think about your doshas, especially Vata. When Vata gets imbalanced, it tends to affect joints among other things. Your age also kinda plays into this, since changes in bones and joints naturally happen as we get older. Now let’s talk about what you can actually do. First, consider your diet. Ayurveda advocates for foods that pacify Vata. Warm, cooked meals with a bit of spice like ginger can be good. Avoid cold, dry, or raw foods that could aggravate Vata more. Ghee or clarified butter is excellent for this—it’s nourishing and lubricating for your joints. Also, I would suggest applying oil like Mahanarayan oil on your knees. Warm the oil a little, then massage it gently on your knees daily before bath. It's soothing and can help with pain. Here's a thought: aloe vera gel mixed with turmeric powder sometimes also brings some relief. Then, there's exercise. Low-impact stuff is best here—so yoga or swimming. Staying active but gentle can really help keep those joints from stiffening. Plus, stretches that target the knees could be worth checking out. About Vitamin D, it’s a good move. You might wanna continue under a doctor's supervision, and maybe get your levels checked out too, to see if you're on point. Hydration is often overlooked, but it's crucial! Drink lukewarm water, it helps with digestion, which in turn keeps that Vata at bay. If the pain gets worse, you know, always consider a professional's advice. Something like panchakarma therapy might be worth exploring in these cases, if persistent. It’s all about balance and consistency in your daily habits. But yeah, be mindful, be patient; these changes take time. Stay relaxed and treat your knees with care.
