Why Do I Keep Getting a Stuffy Nose Even When I’m Not Sick? - #15159
For the past few months, I’ve been dealing with a stuffy nose almost every single day. The weird thing is, I’m not sick, I don’t have a cold, and I don’t think I have allergies either. But every morning, I wake up with a blocked nose, and it takes hours to clear up. Sometimes, one nostril is clogged while the other one is fine, and then they switch! I’ve tried drinking more water, using a humidifier, and even avoiding dairy, but nothing seems to make a big difference. Could my stuffy nose be caused by something internal, like sinus congestion or inflammation? I’ve heard that excess mucus can be a sign of a Kapha imbalance in Ayurveda. Does that mean my body is producing too much mucus? Another thing I’ve noticed is that my stuffy nose gets worse when I eat spicy or fried foods. Could my diet be making my nasal congestion worse? Should I be avoiding certain foods that increase mucus production? Are there any Ayurvedic treatments or home remedies that actually work for chronic stuffy nose and nasal congestion? I’ve heard about nasya therapy (medicated nasal oil), steam inhalation, and turmeric milk—do these really help clear up blocked sinuses? If anyone has dealt with a stuffy nose for months and found a natural solution, please share what worked. I’m tired of waking up every day with a blocked nose and struggling to breathe properly!
