Hello Vasu, It looks like you have an aggravated Kapha imbalance causing excessive phlegm, throat irritation, and muscle strain from continuous coughing. Do you also have fever, body aches, or nasal congestion? Is the mucus thick and yellowish/greenish or clear? Have you eaten cold, heavy, or dairy-based foods recently that may have worsened phlegm production? Do you feel dryness in your throat or a burning sensation while coughing? For relief, start drinking warm water infused with ginger, turmeric, and honey to soothe the throat and reduce mucus. Take Sitopaladi Churna (1 teaspoon) with honey twice a day to ease congestion. Steam inhalation with tulsi leaves or eucalyptus oil can help loosen phlegm. Avoid cold drinks, dairy, and heavy foods. Gargle with warm salt water or ginger decoction for throat pain. If symptoms persist, let me know for a more detailed Ayurvedic plan.

Sounds like you're going through a tough time with that cough and throat pain, especially at night. Ayureveda often links these symptoms with an imbalance in kapha dosha, since phlegm is kapha by nature, and sometimes vata too if it’s causing restlessness or pain. One of the most immediate steps you can take is to drink warm water infused with ginger and honey. Take a small piece of ginger, boil it in water, and then add a spoon of honey once it cools down a bit. Sip this slowly, as the ginger will help to alleviate mucus and honey soothes the throat and calms that inflammation. Also, you might want to try turmeric milk before bed. Warm up some milk, add a pinch of turmeric powder, and drink it. Turmeric is anti-inflammatory, it can help with both throat pain and congestion. But just don’t have it too late; give it at least an hour to settle before lying down. Now, for during the day—steam inhalation is really helpful. You can boil water and add a few drops of eucalyptus oil, and inhale the steam. It’ll help open those respiratory passageways and reduce that head and chest tension. If eucalyptus oil isn’t available, plain steam helps too. There’s a herbal remedy called Sitopaladi churna that might also come in handy for you. It’s tradtionally used for respiratory issues. You can mix a teaspoon with honey and take it 2-3 times a day after meals. Ensure you keep your head elevated when you sleep, so the mucus doesn’t back up. A couple of pillows could make a big difference in reducing that coughing fit. Cut down on food like dairy, bananas, and anything cold, keep them light and warm instead. Warm broths and soups are comforting and easier to digest too. Remember that if symptoms persist or intensify, it's essential to see a healthcare provider soon. Wishing you relief and some good rest soon!
