Dealing with piles can be quite uncomfortable. Based on your description, it seems the condition might be aggravated by certain factors which might need addressing from an Ayurvedic perspective. Ayurvedically, piles are known as "Arsha" and can indeed cause significant discomfort. Firstly, let's focus on alleviating your symptoms. Triphala churna is a time-tested remedy. You can take a teaspoon with warm water before bed. It helps in regularizing bowel movements, ensuring less strain during defecation. If the taste is unpleasant, even half a teaspoon can be beneficial. Consider incorporating buttermilk into your diet. Mix a pinch of roasted cumin powder (jeera) and black salt in a glass of buttermilk and drink it daily. It's cooling, aids digestion, and may help reduce piles' discomfort. Application of coconut oil or ghee to the affected area can offer some relief. Gently applying (using clean hands or a sterile cotton swab) can soothe the inflamed tissues. On the dietary front, keep focusing on fibrous foods like leafy greens, and whole grains. While you're already avoiding non-veg, also steer clear of heavy, oily, or spicy foods as they can aggravate the condition. Including papaya, soaked figs, and prunes can be beneficial for regular bowel activity. Hydration is essential, so ensure you're drinking plenty of water throughout the day. At least 8-10 glasses can help keep stools soft, reducing strain. In terms of lifestyle, do try to avoid sitting for prolonged periods. Taking soothing sitz baths, using warm water, can be quite effective in providing relief. Simply sit in a tub with enough warm water to submerge the affected area for about 15-20 minutes. These recommendations are supportive but if pain is worsening, or if there's excessive bleeding, it's crucial to consult with a healthcare professional to rule out any serious conditions. Balancing your doshas and maintaining good agni (digestive fire) is key, but medical assessment might be necessary for your condition.
