Along with that after few cycles like once in 4 in cycles I get really heavy bleeding with big clotes followed by secondary dysmenorrhea. My cycles are regular with 3 days of bleeding, usually light or medium flow. I have took ashwagandha and shatavari also evening primrose and all the B12, magnesium, calcium, iron, vit E supplements but nothing has helped me

It sounds like your body’s signaling something deeper. The usual remedies aren’t cutting it for you right now, so maybe it’s time for a different lens. PMS and heavy bleeding can often point to an underlying imbalance, probably related to your doshas – do you know your prakriti?
Given your symptoms, this might be a mix of Vata and Pitta issues. The insomnia and mood swings really scream Vata imbalance & those heavy bleeds with clots suggest Pitta might be a bit too fiery. First up, think about your agni — you know, the digestive fire. If it’s weak, it can mess with everything! Think light and warm food. Maybe try starting the day with warm water and lemon or ginger tea – helps kickstart your digestion.
Your routine can be a helper too. Aim for consistency in meals and sleep, no skipping meals or staying up late regularly. Sometimes just aligning your daily rhythm with nature’s (like eating when the sun’s up, sleeping when it’s dark) can be a game-changer.
Abhyanga, or self-massage, with sesame oil? So soothing for Vata and grounding – do it maybe 3-4 times a week? Really helps calm the Vata and can ease cramps too. When it comes to herbs, you might want to tweak things a bit. While shatavari’s great, if it’s not doing the trick alone, consider combining with other herbs like Amalaki – helps your Pitta a lot.
For the heavy bleeding cycles, maybe Moringa leaf juice? It’s quite the tonic; not only for strengthening your tissues but balancing your hormones. Try sipping a little warm black sesame seed paste mix with warm water during periods too, it might ease those clots and painful cramps.
But remember, some things need a more hands-on look. If symptoms like these persist, pls consider connecting w/ an Ayurvedic practitioner directly in your area. They might need to assess dosha balance in a more nuanced way. And if things are super severe, or stress isn’t addressed here, you absolutely must check in w/ a healthcare professional! We have to ensure there’s no bigger issue at hand.
Do share what you notice, and of course, be patient – those natural rhythms sometimes need time and a little nudge in the right direction ;)
