Hey, sounds like you might be dealing with something like PCOS - Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. It could definitely explain both the irregular periods and the facial hair. Ayurveda can be pretty effective here in balancing those hormones naturally, so you're on the right track. So, let's dig in. First up, diet and digestion are big priorities. You wanna make sure your digestive fire, or agni, is strong enough to metabolize food efficiently. Start incorporating warm, cooked meals - think khichdi or soups - these are brilliant for nurturing agni. Avoid cold, heavy, and overly oily foods. Now herbs! There’s this amazing Ayurvedic herb called Shatavari that's particularly nourishing for the female reproductive system. Try taking it in powder form, about a teaspoon, with warm milk or water twice a day. It helps balance the hormones, among other things. Another remedy is taking Ashwagandha, it's great for stress relief and help normalize those hormones too. Mix half a teaspoon with warm water in the mornings. That stress factor often makes PCOS symptoms worse, so chilling out is quite necessary. Also, physical activity matters. A leisurely 20 to 30-minute walk daily, especially in the early morning, can synchronize your body’s natural rhythms. It makes a world of a difference to balance Kapha dosha, which is often aggravated in PCOS cases. For the hair issue, try a facial scrub made with chickpea flour and turmeric - super traditional way of managing facial hair growth. Apply it gently on the affected area thrice a week, wash it off with warm water once it's semi-dry. Remember, though, I think you should still check-in with a healthcare provider. Just to rule out or diagnose any specific issues. You'd wanna be sure it's not something else! And make any intense pain you're experiencing less of a mystery by getting it understood professionally. Keep consistent with these suggestions, give them time to work, and fingers crossed you’ll see improvement. Modifying lifestyle can be powerful, not always instant, but good things take time, right? Hang in there and take care!
