I am really stressing out about this issue with my stoma and the stoma care gel, and I could use some help!! So, I had surgery last year, and since then, it's been a bit of a roller coaster. At first, I was managing fine, but now it seems like the stoma care gel just isn’t working like it used to. I’ve tried a couple of different brands, but my skin is super irritated, and I can’t figure out if it's the gel or something I’m doing wrong. I’m careful with applying it, but I often find myself needing to reapply several times a day. I even started looking at the ingredients list, worried maybe there’s something in them that's not agreeing with my skin, ya know? Plus, sometimes I feel like the seal isn't holding up as well, and I'm not sure if I should be switching to a different type of stoma care gel or if it’s something else entirely. Has anyone else had issues like this? What’s the best way to deal with irritation from stoma care gel? Would love to hear any tips or recommendations because I'm kinda at my wit's end with this situation. Just trying to get back to some sort of normalcy here!
