Persistent tinea infections, or ringworm, can be challenging, especially if conventional treatments aren’t working. In Ayurveda, we address skin infections by considering dosha imbalances, your prakriti (body constitution), and digestive health, or agni.

First, ensure that your diet supports good digestion, which in Ayurveda is key to maintaining health. Avoid foods that are heavy, oily, or too spicy, as they might aggravate the underlying imblances. Light, fresh and seasonal foods are recommended. Include bitter-tasting vegetables like bitter gourd and neem leaves, as they are known for their antimicrobial properties. You might prepare a decoction from neem leaves, consuming it daily to help purify the blood.

Maintaining cleanliness is essential. Use a natural soap or cleanse with besan (gram flour) mixed with a pinch of turmeric powder, which has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic qualities. Apply it gently during showers to reduce irritation.

For topical application, you can prepare a paste with neem oil or coconut oil mixed with turmeric and apply it to the affected areas twice daily. This might help soothe and heal the skin due to its antibacterial properties.

In dealing with fungal infections, it’s critical to wear breathable, clean clothing, as damp, tight garments can worsen the condition. Ensuring the skin is dry and well-exposed to air can reduce fungal growth.

Consider taking an Ayurvedic detoxifying regimen like Triphala churna to enhance your digestive health, take 1 teaspoon with warm water before bedtime. Also, an immunity-boosting herbal supplement like Guduchi may assist in preventing future occurences.

Apart from this, lifestyle changes involving stress management through practices like meditation or yoga can help, as stress can exacerbate infections. Always check in with an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized guidance or if symptoms persist.

Addressing persistent tinea (ringworm) can indeed be challenging, especially if conventional treatments aren’t working long-term. From an Ayurvedic perspective, recurring skin conditions could point towards an imbalance in the doshas, particularly an overactive kapha with pitta elements. This can disrupt the skin’s equilibrium and immune response.

Firstly, it’s important to adjust your diet. Avoid foods that exacerbate kapha and pitta, like dairy, sugar, and oily or spicy foods. Instead, focus on a diet that’s light and easy to digest—grains like quinoa or barley, vegetables such as bitter gourd, and herbs like turmeric which is known for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Make a paste with fresh turmeric and apply it to the infected areas. Add a bit of water or coconut oil to create the paste, and leave it on for about 30 minutes before rinsing. Do this once daily. Neem leaves also have antifungal qualities; boil some in water and wash the affected parts once it cools.

Build your internal strength through a blend of Ayurvedic herbs. Triphala can help detoxify and support overall health. Drink warm water infused with fresh ginger and a pinch of black pepper to bolster digestion and immunity.

Consistency with these practices, along with maintaining good skin hygiene, should gradually improve the condition. However, given the severity and persistence of your infection, it’s crucial to consult a healthcare provider to rule out any deeper systemic causes or requirements for more intensive treatments. Your health is priority, always.
