Dermatitis, referred to in Ayurveda as Vicharchika, often arises due to imbalances in the doshas, particularly Pitta and Kapha in skin conditions. First, focus on dietary modifications. Avoid hot, spicy and acidic foods, which can aggravate Pitta dosha and thus worsen your lip condition. Instead, incorporate cooling foods like cucumber, coriander, and coconut water to pacify Pitta.

Next, strengthen your skin’s resilience through external applications. Coconut oil, with its antibacterial and soothing properties, can be beneficial. Apply a thin film of virgin coconut oil to the affected area three times a day. Alternately, a paste made with sandalwood powder and a few drops of rose water can offer relief; apply it gently on the lips for about 15-20 minutes before washing off.

Hydration is key—drink plenty of water and consider herbal teas (like chamomile or licorice root infusion) to maintain internal moisture. Avoid excessive licking of your lips, as this can dry them out further, worsening the condition.

Internally, a decoction of Neem leaves could be helpful in purifying the body—boil a handful of fresh neem leaves in two cups of water till it reduces to half, strain it and sip warm, once a day. This should help to balance the Pitta dosha over time.

Remember, stress exacerbates symptoms, so engage in stress-reducing activities like yoga or pranayama. Daily oil pulling with sesame oil before washing or dresssing up in the morning can also help detoxify and improve oral health.

It is crucial, however, to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner or dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis and tailor any treatment specifically to your unique constitution and circumstances. Keep these gentle habits consistent over time as changes in Ayurvedic therapy are cumulative and might take a bit to show effect.
