Panchakarma Room Plan - #2913
I am setting up a small wellness space for Panchakarma treatments in my clinic and need some advice on creating the right Panchakarma room plan. I want the space to feel relaxing and professional but I am not sure what specific things are required for a proper Panchakarma setup. What are the must-haves when designing a room for these treatments? From what I have read, a Panchakarma room plan should include a massage table, space for Shirodhara equipment, and a separate area for steam therapy. But I am confused about the exact layout. For example, does the massage table need to be positioned in a particular direction according to Ayurvedic principles? And how much space should there be around it for therapists to move freely during treatments? I am also wondering about ventilation and lighting. Should the Panchakarma room plan include windows for natural light, or is a dimly lit space better for creating a calming atmosphere? What about temperature control? Since Panchakarma involves oil therapies and steam, does the room need special insulation or heating systems? Another thing I am unsure about is storage. A lot of oils and herbal preparations are used in Panchakarma, so how should these be stored in the room? Do they need to be kept at a specific temperature or in airtight containers? And should the Panchakarma room plan include separate cabinets for clean towels and used ones? One more challenge is deciding whether the room should have attached facilities like a bathroom or shower. Since treatments like Virechana or Basti can be messy, would it be better to have everything in one space? Or should the Panchakarma room plan keep the treatment area separate from restrooms to maintain hygiene?
