The sudden appearance of rashes and bumps on your face seems indicative of an acute skin reaction, which can sometimes occur due to sudden temperature changes, exposure to heat, or even certain types of foods that may trigger allergic reactions. In Ayurveda, this could relate to an imbalance of the Pitta dosha, as it governs heat and inflammation in the body.

Firstly, cooling measures are vital. You can try using a simple paste of sandalwood powder mixed with rose water, applying it gently to the affected areas. This provides a natural cooling effect and may reduce the redness and swelling. Leave it on until it dries, then wash off with cool water. Repeat this remedy twice daily until symptoms subside.

Avoid using heat-producing or heavy foods for some time. Opt for foods that are naturally cooling and calming to Pitta, such as cucumbers, melons, pears, and oatmeal. Stay clear of overly spicy, oily, or fried foods. Hydration is also essential, enhance intake of fresh, pure water, perhaps infused with mint or fennel seeds to promote cooling from within.

Herbal teas such as chamomile or licorice root can be soothing. Boil 1 teaspoon of dried chamomile flowers or licorice root in 2 cups of water for about 5 minutes, strain, and cool before sipping. Drink it once or twice through the day.

For external application, aloe vera gel is another excellent choice. Its natural properties soothe inflammation and it’s gentle on the skin. Be sure to use a pure, natural form, applying a thin layer over the affected areas.

If the condition worsens or doesn’t improve within a day or two, consider consulting a dermatologist or healthcare provider for a more thorough examination, as this could indicate an allergic reaction or more severe skin condition. Such reactions sometimes might need pharmacological intervention for proper management.

It seems like your face is reacting to something, most probably some allergy or imbalance in your body’s doshas. Since washing your face triggered this, it could be a reaction to the change in temperature or an irritant present in your environment. Start by stopping any cosmetic or new products you might be using—simplify what’s coming into contact with your skin. This can help narrow down potential irritants.

In Siddha-Ayurvedic terms, this condition might signal an excess in Pitta dosha, leading to inflammation like the redness and swelling you described. Let’s aim to cool and pacify Pitta. Avoid hot, spicy, acidic, or fried foods right now—they can stimulate Pitta further.

Topically, consider applying a paste made from turmeric and sandalwood powder mixed with rose water to affected areas. Turmeric aids in reducing inflammation and carrying antipruritic properties, while sandalwood and rose water soothe the skin. You may apply it to your face for 20 minutes, then gently rinse with cool water. Do this twice daily.

Internally, sipping on coriander seed water may help, as it can cleanse the system and cool the body. Soak a teaspoon of coriander seeds in a glass of water overnight. Strain and drink it in the morning on an empty stomach.

Ensure to stay hydrated and avoid direct exposure to sunlight and heat for the time being. If symptoms don’t improve or if you experience any difficulty breathing or severe discomfort, it is crucial to visit a healthcare provider to address promptly. Allergies and skin conditions can sometimes escalate unpredictably.
