I am trying from 6 months for natural conception. Nd treatment running of ovalution induction.. But didn't get any positive results yet..nd now my lmp is 24july...i have missed period.. But UPT is negative.. Please tell what is the reason.. Of missed period.. Is this Meanaupause??

Missed periods don’t always indicate menopause, especially at the age of 34, and when you’ve been trying for conception. There are several reasons why your periods might be delayed. Stress, dietary changes, significant weight loss or gain, thyroid issues, or even hormonal imbalances might contribute to this. Ovulation induction therapy itself can also affect your menstrual cycle, creating temporary irregularities.

In Ayurveda, irregular or missed periods often relate to imbalances in the doshas, particularly Vata and Pitta, which can affect hormonal balance and reproductive health. Improving Agni, or digestive fire, and supporting the dhatus, especially the Shukra dhatu (reproductive tissue), can help restore balance. A few Ayurvedic suggestions:

1. Ashwagandha: Known to support reproductive health, incorporating Ashwagandha can help manage stress-related hormonal issues and balance Vata dosha. Try taking it twice daily with warm milk after meals.

2. Warm foods: Favor warm, freshly cooked meals, which can help strengthen Agni. Spices like ginger, cumin, and fennel can be beneficial. Avoid cold, raw foods which might aggravate Vata.

3. Abhyanga (oil massage): Regular self-massage with warm sesame oil can help stabilize Vata dosha and improve circulation to reproductive organs. Practice this in the morning before bathing.

4. Routine & Sleep: Maintaining a consistent daily routine, with regular meal times and sufficient rest, can help regulate your menstrual cycle. Try to sleep by 10 p.m. to support healthy hormone production.

5. Regular check-ups: Since medical conditions like thyroid imbalances could affect menstruation, it’s wise to consult your physician for a complete evaluation if the issue persists.

These recommendations might offer you support in harmonising your cycle but please continue your current medical care for ovulation induction and consult with your healthcare provider for ongoing issues.

Missed periods can be caused by various factors, and it’s not necessarily menopause, especially considering your age. While menopause typically begins around the late 40s or early 50s, other reasons could be ovulatory irregularities, stress, hormonal imbalances, or nutritional deficiencies. With your current treatment of ovulation induction, keep in mind that sometimes these can affect your menstrual cycle too.

To address the root cause from an Ayurvedic perspective, we should evaluate your doshic balance, particularly focusing on the vata and pitta doshas. You may consider incorporating Ashwagandha and Shatavari into your routine. Ashwagandha can help in calming vata and maintaining stress levels, whereas Shatavari acts as a rejuvenative for the female reproductive system, working on pitta.

Focus also on diet and lifestyle. Try to have a warm, nourishing diet that supports your agni (digestive fire). Avoid very cold foods, excessive caffeine, and irregular eating hours. Cooked vegetables, lentils, whole grains, nuts and seeds can be beneficial. Ensure ample hydration - but don’t overdo it.
