I have histaminic issues and asma. Please suggestions? When climate changes I get sick quickly and start <link removed>ughing. normally I do not.eat milk <link removed>rivates nor wheat.

To address histaminic issues alongside asthma, consider emphasizing balance in your lifestyle, diet, and overall daily routine. Firstly, Ayurveda emphasizes the role of agni — digestive fire. Supporting your agni can help in managing such imbalances. Consume light, warm and easy-to-digest foods like moong dal soup, cooked vegetables like zucchini and bottle gourd. Avoid eating too much cold or raw foods as they might hamper digestion and escalate symptoms.

For your diet, avoiding milk derivates and wheat is a good start, as these can aggravate kapha, which is associated with respiratory conditions. Incorporate spices like ginger, turmeric and black pepper in your cooking; they are known for their anti-inflammatory and expectorant properties. Consuming a warm turmeric milk (turmeric with almond milk or coconut milk) at night can also help reduce inflammation and boost immunity.

In Ayurveda, pranayama (breathing exercises) plays a crucial role in managing respiratory issues. Practice deep breathing exercises such as Anulom Vilom and Kapalbhati daily, ideally in the morning, to strengthen the lungs and improve respiratory function. However, avoid overstraining your breath during these exercises— listen to your body’s signals.

Climate changes are frequent triggers, so it’s helpful to adopt a consistent sleep schedule, ensuring 7-8 hours of restful sleep per night to boost your immune preparation. Applying eucalyptus oil to your chest or inhaling steam with eucalyptus during climate transitions might ease respiratory discomfort.

Hydration is key too; sipping on warm water throughout the day helps maintain mucous membrane health and aids in detoxification. However, if symptoms worsen or breathing becomes difficult, seek immediate medical attention as it may require urgent intervention. Always remain mindful of sudden changes in symptoms and stay in touch with your healthcare provider for personalized medical advice.
