I am really trying to lose some weight, and I keep hearing about yoga as a good way to help shed some pounds. I’ve been doing this on and off for a bit, but honestly, I’m not sure if I see any results yet. Like, I tried power yoga and some flow classes, and it felt intense, but after weeks I still look the same. My friends who practice swear by yoga — saying will yoga reduce weight for sure, that it’s all about strength and flexibility which makes total sense to me. But then I read somewhere that it may not actually burning enough calories compared to other workouts. I also deal with stress, anxiety stuff, and noticed yoga helps me there, too. Like, my therapist even suggested it, saying it could balance my mind and body. But, I worry if I’m just wasting time if I really want to lose weight, you know? Should I be doing more cardio instead, or really, will yoga reduce weight? Am I just overthinking it? I mean, I feel good after a class, but those jeans I wanna fit into still feel tight. Has anyone had real results with yoga for weight loss? What do you guys think?
