Addressing golfer’s elbow involves focusing on reducing inflammation and promoting healing. In Ayurveda, this condition may be linked to aggravated Pitta and Vata doshas, leading to inflammation and dryness in the tendons. Applying a paste of turmeric and water on the elbow can help; turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties. Do this twice a day, leaving it on for about 20 minutes. Gentle massage with warm sesame oil may improve circulation and reduce stiffness, just be careful with the pressure.

To support both elbows and hips, an anti-inflammatory diet plays a crucial role; avoid hot, spicy, and oily foods that can exacerbate Pitta. Include cooked veggies like zucchini and squash, legumes, whole grains, and incorporate ghee for lubrication. Drink ginger tea for additional anti-inflamattory benefits, aiming for 1-2 cups daily.

For your hip condition, though it’s challenging without cartilage, focusing on strengthening the surrounding muscles is essential. But avoid strain; gentle yoga postures like Sukhasana (Easy Pose), or Supta Padangusthasana (Reclining Hand-to-Big-Toe Pose) done on alternating days could be beneficial, holding each gently for few breaths. Do consult a physical therapist to ensure exercises aligns with your condition.

Ayurvedic supplements like Ashwagandha may strengthen muscles and reduce inflammation. Take 1/2 tsp with warm milk at night, but consult with a professional before beginning any internal supplement especially with such condition.

Hydration is key to maintaining joint health, so drink plenty of water. If your hip feels unstable, it’s essential to maintain a supportive posture as much as possible. Do consider seeing a healthcare provider for a comprehensive plan tailored to reduce inflammation and fortify joint areas. This guidance complements professional medical advice, it can’t replace it, especially given the severity of your hip conditions.

Addressing golfer’s elbow involves understanding the underlying aggravation of the doshas, primarily Vata and Pitta. This condition usually stems from repetitive strain, so prioritizing rest is key. Applying warm sesame oil mixed with a pinch of turmeric to the affected area can help reduce inflammation and enhance circulation. Regular gentle exercises like wrist flexor exercises can gradually strengthen the tendons, as long as pain is minimal. Also, consider integrating Ashwagandha powder into your diet—it can aid in reducing stress and promoting healing. Incorporate these routines and observe for improvement, but be careful to not push into pain.

Regarding your hip issues, given the severity described, it’s essential to note that while Siddha-Ayurveda can support, it’s not a substitute for addressing serious mechanical issues. Establishing stability and reducing Vata aggravation in your hips can be beneficial. Gentle daily application of Mahanarayan oil, along with maintaining warmth in the hip region, may provide some relief. Trikatu churna can enhance digestion, supporting overall tissue health, especially important when the body’s sustaining structures are involved.

Focus on nutritional support: increase intake of foods rich in calcium and magnesium like leafy greens, sesame seeds, and almonds. Despite these measures, the severity of bone-on-bone contact often requires intervention beyond herbal remedies to prevent further deterioration. Consult with a specialist to explore all options, especially since assistive devices like crutches are only a temporary support rather than a solution. Always prioritize professional medical evaluation to ensure comprehensive care.
