There’s a possibility that the underlying imbalances in your body are not fully addressed by supplements and diet alone. In Ayurveda, inflammation is often linked to an imbalance in the doshas, particularly Pitta. It’s crucial to first understand your unique prakriti (constitution) and any vikriti (imbalances) present. Here are several elements to consider:

1. Digestive Fire (Agni): If your agni is weak or variable, it can lead to toxins (ama) build-up which contributes to inflammation. A simple way to stimulate Agni is to sip on warm water throughout the day. Additionally, incorporating spices like ginger and cumin can help improve digestion.

2. Stress and Lifestyle: Chronic stress influences doshas significantly, often exacerbating inflammation. Practices like Pranayama (breathing exercises) or meditation can positively impact stress levels. Consistency in daily routine (dinacharya) is also vital, ensuring you wake, eat, and sleep at regular times.

3. Herbs and Spices: Turmeric is renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties. However, combining it with black pepper enhances its bioavailability. Consider a daily mix of 1/2 teaspoon turmeric and a pinch of black pepper in warm milk or water.

4. Panchakarma: This classical detoxification method helps eliminate ama (toxins) and can significantly reduce inflammation when done under professional guidance. A complete evaluation by an experienced Ayurvedic physician is needed to decide the appropriateness and specifics of these treatments.

5. Nourishment and Diet: Ensure your diet aligns with your dosha balance. While certain foods may be generally healthy, they might not suit your constitution. For instance, a kapha imbalance requires more light, warm foods, whereas pitta would benefit from cooling, hydrating meals.
