The symptoms you’re describing - severe lower back pain extending to the pelvic region, ankle pain, and stiffness - possibly indicate Vata dosha imbalance. Vata governs movement and can cause pain and stiffness when aggravated. The low Vitamin D level (D3 18.9) may be contributing factor to your discomfort and warrants attention. Here are some tailored recommendations to help address these issues:

1. Warm oil application: Try regular use of warm sesame oil for Abhyanga (self-massage) on affected areas like lower back, pelvis, and ankles. Massage gently in circular motions, especially before a warm shower, to promote circulation and alleviate stiffness.

2. Dietary suggestions: Focus on a Vata pacifying diet that includes warm, cooked foods with good fats. You may benefit from incorporating ghee and sesame into your meals. Try having warm milk with a pinch of turmeric and a small amount of ghee daily at night for lubricating joints.

3. Herbal supplements: Consider taking Ashwagandha, which supports bone and muscle health. Consult with a local Ayurvedic practitioner to determine the right dosage for your specific needs.

4. Vitamin D: It’s critical to address the low D3 levels. Sun exposure during early morning or evening times for 15-20 minutes daily is beneficial. Supplementation may be necessary, consult with healthcare provider.

5. Gentle exercises and breathing: Engage in gentle yoga postures focused on flexibility. Asanas like Bhujangasana (cobra pose) and Pawanmuktasana (wind-releasing pose) can help. Daily Pranayama practices such as Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing) aid in balancing Vata.

6. Lifestyle modifications: Ensure you keep warm, avoid cold foods, and manage stress, as Vata increases with cold, dryness, and erratic routines.

7. Postural and ergonomic care: Focus on proper sitting and standing postures. To ease stiffness, take frequent breaks to stretch if seated for long periods.

Continuously monitor your symptoms, especially if they worsen or new symptoms develop, consider seeking professional medical evaluation. The key is balance; Ayurveda emphasizes creating harmony within lifestyle and diet tailored specifically to your constitutions and current imbalances.
