When experiencing scalp issues like black and white flakes, or a sharp sensation in the hair, it often indicates an imbalance in the body’s doshas, particularly Pitta and Kapha. For scalp flakes, consider applying a natural oil, such as coconut oil infused with neem leaves, to help soothe and cleanse the scalp. Warm the oil slightly before applying it, gently massage into the scalp and leave it on for about 30 minutes before washing it off with a mild, herbal shampoo. This can help reduce dandruff and soothe the scalp. Be cautious with any sharp feeling; there may be an external object or severe scalp inflammation, which may require a healthcare professional’s assessment.
Concerning the forehead pimples, that appear like yellow seeds, they often point to a Pitta imbalance manifesting through skin eruptions. Consuming a Pitta-pacifying diet can assist; include cooling foods like cucumber, coriander juice, and aloe vera juice. Avoid spicy, oily, and fermented foods. Applying a paste made of sandalwood powder mixed with rose water to the affected areas at night and washing it off in the morning may have a calming effect.
The dry, sandpaper-feeling facial skin suggests a Vata aggravation, highlighting a need for increased moisture. Consider using sesame oil or ghee for facial application to retain moisture. When applying, gently massage your face with these oils in a circular motion before bedtime, and rinse with lukewarm water in the morning.
Ensure that you maintain regular hydration by drinking sufficient water throughout the day, as internal hydration significantly impacts skin health. If symptoms don’t improve with these measures, it is important to consult a dermatologist or Ayurvedic practitioner to explore further options tailored to your conditions.
