Allergy to Dust, Perfume, and AC with Migraines - #42626
I have dust, perfume and AC allergy. My eyes become itchy and upper nasal tracks become blocked. If it becomes severe than I have migraine. I cannot go out in cold temperature. I want to get consultation. Also guide me whether the medicine would be available in Pakistan or not because it's very difficult to get medicine from India. Hassan Khan, ACMA CGMA

Understanding the complexities behind your allergies and migraine can primarily be associated with a Kapha and Vata imbalance in Ayurveda. These allergies affect the respiratory system leading to blockages and headaches resembling migraines, which often get triggered under specific environmental conditions like dust, perfume, or cold temperatures.
To address the imbalance, consider incorporating some practical changes. Keep your living surroundings clean from dust, using natural cleaning agents like diluted vinegar to avoid chemical triggers. It may be helpful to use air purifiers at home to lessen airborne allergens. For your nasal blockage, try a daily practice of Nasya—a few drops of Anu Taila, a traditional Ayurvedic oil, are applied into the nostrils each morning. Anu Taila may be available in herbal stores in Pakistan or order online from verified shops.
Dietary considerations should include warm foods that balance Vata and lighten Kapha. Incorporate spices like ginger or turmeric, which can enhance your digestive fire and help clear mucus. Avoid cold foods, and drinks which can increase mucus production.
To help with migraines, Saffron and Brahmi are beneficial herbs. Brahmi can be taken as a supplement if available, and Saffron can be added to milk or tea. A daily Pranayama practice, such as Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing), helps in calming the mind and regulating physiological imbalances.
If you’re unable to source particular products from India, local herbal stores or online platforms may offer alternatives. Consulting a local Ayurvedic practitioner could further customize these recommendations. Always ensure that any change in your wellness routine aligns well with existing medical advice.
