Seeking Help for Persistent Acne and Constipation - #44265

i am having pimple which is pus filled painful sometimes cystic acne and small pusless pimple in forehead most pimple is present in cheek area and lots of blackheads in nose region my face is rough open pores and full of acne i have constipation So i take milk + ghee in night daily which makes my pimple clear i have tried lots ayurvedic medicine like khadirarishta mahamanjisthadi kwath but due to this arishta i am constipated a lot i have periods which happens for 2 days only 3 day only small amount please help me in the treatment dont share my question in public

Addressing the root causes of acne and constipation requires a thorough understanding of your body’s current imbalances. From an Ayurvedic perspective, the conditions you describe suggest an aggravation of Pitta dosha, which leads to skin inflammation, and Vata dosha, contributing to constipation.

To balance Pitta, focus on cooling, anti-inflammatory dietary choices. Consume more fruits like melons, pears, and pomegranates, which pacify Pitta and promote digestion. Avoid spicy, fermented, and overly salty foods that can worsen inflammation. Since dairy has been beneficial for you, consider consuming it in moderation—preferably non-homogenized milk.

For constipation, mix of 5-10 black raisins, soaked overnight in water, could help. Eat them on an empty stomach in the morning to ease bowel movements. If milk and ghee are aiding acne, consume them ensuring it’s fresh ghee.

To manage periods, consider incorporating herbs like Shatavari, known for supporting the reproductive system. Dosage of Shatavari is typically 500mg to 1g daily, consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for precise measures.

Externally, use face packs made of sandalwood powder or neem paste to reduce acne. Clay masks, particularly those with multani mitti (Fuller’s Earth), can absorb excess oil and clear pores.

You may also benefit from Yoga and Pranayama which help balance the doshas holisticly, promoting overall health. Practices such as Anulom-Vilom (alternate nostril breathing) can balance energy flow.

Lastly, review your intake of Khadirarishta and Mahamanjisthadi kwath, as they could be aggravating your condition. Discontinue or adjust in consultation with a healthcare provider familiar with your case. Always, consider professional guidance in ayurveda to tailor these suggestions accurately.
