When dealing with post-accident pain even without a fracture, it’s possible her Vata dosha is aggravated. This can lead to chronic pain, stiffness, and decreased joint mobility. Here’s how to approach it:

First, consider applying warm herbal oils to her knees and legs daily. Oils like Mahanarayan oil or Dhanwantharam thailam can be used for mild massage, about 10-15 minutes before bath. Warm the oil slightly before use, as warmth soothes aggravated Vata. Also, keeping her legs warm is crucial, so avoid exposing them to cold. You might find using a heating pad helpful if she find it comforting.

Dietary adjustments might also be valuable. Encourage her to consume warm, cooked foods, focusing on soups, stews, and well-spiced dishes to support agni, the digestive fire. Ginger, cumin, and asafoetida are particularly beneficial. Avoid cold and raw foods which may increase Vata imbalance.

For her sitting and mobility issues, gentle exercises or yoga focused on flexibility can be useful. It’s significant not to overexert her; practices like Pawanmuktasana series of exercises could be a beneficial start, these are known to gently enhance circulation and allow gradual improvement in flexibility. However, she should have guidance from a qualified yoga instructor who understands her specific limitations.

Internally, herbs like Ashwagandha or Guggul are known to help with joint health and inflammation. You might consider these but, consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner to ensure appropriate dosage and suitability, especially considering her complete health condition.

Hydration is equally paramount, suggest her sipping warm water throughout the day. This aids in flushing out toxins, supporting joint lubrication.

If her condition doesn’t improve or worsen, better consult an orthopedic specialist to rule out deeper issues. Remember, consistency with these changes is vital for real improvement and monitoring her progress is essential.
