The chronic pain you’re experiencing in your lower back and limbs could be connected to a vitiation of Vata dosha, which is often characterized by significant pain and mobility issues. Especially since it worsens at night, Vata imbalance could be a key factor here. Vataari churna and Lakshadi Guggul can indeed offer relief for Vata-related pain disorders, but they should be part of a more comprehensive approach tailored to your specific constitution and condition.
Firstly, considering your diabetic condition, ensure that your blood sugar levels are well-managed, as high glucose can exacerbate pain and inflammation. Maintain a consistent review with your regular healthcare providers for diabetes management.
For the pain itself, along with the mentioned medicines, you can consider using Dashmoola kwatha or decoction, known for effective detoxifying and anti-inflammatory properties targeting Vata imbalances. Take this decoction once or twice daily, preferably on an empty stomach.
Dietary modifications are crucial. Favor warm, easily digestible meals that balance Vata, such as soups, stews, and cooked vegetables seasoned with spices like ginger, cumin, and turmeric, which support digestion and reduce inflammation. Avoid cold, dry, and raw foods which can aggravate Vata.
A gentle daily oil message with warm sesame oil or mahanarayan oil can support circulation and alleviate stiffness and pain. Abhyanga or self-massage can be particularly soothing when done 30 minutes before a warm bath.
Exercise is important, be gentle though. Start with some light stretching or yoga asanas tailored for Vata balancing, like Pavanamuktasana or Setu Bandhasana, focusing more on flexibility than exertion.
Finally, ensure adequate rest and regular sleep patterns. Consider incorporating a relaxing evening routine, perhaps some herbal teas with chamomile or ashwagandha before bed to calm the mind.
Should symptoms persist or worsen, consult with an Ayurveda practitioner for a more personalized assessment. It’s vital to approach this with both Ayurvedic and conventional insights in mind.
