Hello Mckenzie, Thanks for opening up about what you’re dealing with. When hair loss keeps going for more than six months—and you’re also feeling tired and noticing your hair getting thinner it’s time to dig into the real cause, not just cover it up with products

YOUR CONCERN

Hair loss: Over 6 months now Main issues: - Hair coming out a lot when you wash or brush it - Thinning and less volume Other things going on: - Stress (sounds like you’re handling it, but it’s still there) - Low energy, feeling tired - No big changes in diet

AYURVEDIC UNDERSTANDING

Your symptoms line up with what Ayurveda calls chronic Kesha Patana. Usually, it’s a mix of a few things:

- Pitta and Vata are out of balance. Pitta makes hair thin and fall out earlier, can make your scalp feel sensitive. Vata brings dryness, weak roots.

- Rasa & Rakta Dhatu (the body’s nourishing fluids and blood) are low. That means the hair roots aren’t getting what they need, so hair gets lifeless and weak.

- Ongoing stress and tiredness even if you’re coping start to affect Majja Dhatu (nerve and marrow tissue). This messes with the hair’s growth cycle, pushing more hair into the shedding phase.

Honestly, this looks a lot like telogen effluvium, or maybe the early stages of genetic hair thinning.

Ayurvedic Treatment Goals

- Slow down or stop the hair fall - Feed and strengthen the hair roots - Bring Pitta and Vata back into balance - Boost your energy - Encourage healthy regrowth

AYURVEDIC TREATMENT PLAN

INTERNAL MEDICATION

1.Bhringraj Ghan Vati 1 vati twice daily after food This is one of the best herbs for hair. It helps hair stay in the growth phase. - Less hair fall - Encourages new growth - Gets blood moving in the scalp

2 Amalaki Rasayana 1 tsp morning empty stomach Good for calming Pitta, full of antioxidants. - Makes roots stronger - Improves texture - Slows down early thinning

3.Ashwagandha Capsule 1 capsule after food twice daily Great for stress and tiredness, supports the nerves and hormones. - Cuts down stress-related hair loss - Helps you feel more energetic and sleep better - Balances hormones

4 Guduchi Satva 1 tsp with warm water twice daily after food Helps your metabolism and immune system, and supports healthy blood. - Better nourishment for hair follicles - Less inflammation-related hair loss

EXTERNAL CARE

👉Hair Oil (3–4 times a week): Use Bhringraj Taila or Neelibhringadi Taila. Massage it gently into your scalp before bed and wash it out in the morning with a mild, herbal shampoo. - Strengthens roots - Thickens hair - Soothes scalp heat

DIET PLAN

✅INCLUDE - Green leafy veggies - Black sesame seeds - Dates, figs, soaked almonds - A little cow’s ghee - Warm, fresh meals

❌AVOID - Spicy and fried foods - Super hot drinks - Too much caffeine - Skipping meals

LIFESTYLE TIPS

- Try to sleep before 11 PM - Avoid screens late at night - Do Anulom Vilom and Bhramari Pranayama for stress - Skip tight hairstyles and harsh chemical products

Tests to Consider To check for any underlying issues, get these labs: - CBC (checks for anemia) - Ferritin (iron stores) - Vitamin B12 - Vitamin D - Thyroid (TSH)

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT - Hair fall usually slows down in 4–6 weeks - Hair feels thicker and healthier in 2–3 months - Noticeable regrowth in 3–4 months

But really, staying consistent with these changes is what makes the difference.

Hair loss that goes on this long can turn around—if you work on the root cause. Avoid jumping between products or using harsh treatments. Focus on nourishing your body and caring for your scalp.

Wishing you stronger, healthier hair,

Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

THANK YOU FOR REACHING OUT AND SHARING YOUR CONCERNS I UNDERSTAND HOW DISTRESSING HAIR FALL CAN FEEL ESPECIALLY WHEN IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A FEW MONTHS FROM AN AYURVEDIC POINT OF VIEW THIS TYPE OF HAIR LOSS IS MOSTLY RELATED TO STRESS PITTAVATA IMBALANCE AND WEAK NOURISHMENT OF BODY TISSUES EVEN MODERATE STRESS CAN PUSH HAIR INTO A SHEDDING PHASE AND TIREDNESS SHOWS THAT ROOT LEVEL STRENGTH IS LOW

FIRST WE NEED TO SUPPORT DIGESTION AND CALM THE NERVOUS SYSTEM BECAUSE WITHOUT THAT HAIR MEDICINES WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY TAKE SIMPLE WARM FRESH FOOD AVOID VERY SPICY FRIED AND PACKED ITEMS SLEEP BEFORE ELEVEN AT NIGHT AND TRY TO KEEP A REGULAR DAILY ROUTINE

FOR MEDICINES YOU CAN START WITH BHRINGARAJASAVA TEN ML WITH EQUAL WATER TWICE DAILY AFTER FOOD AMLA CHURNA ONE TEASPOON IN THE MORNING WITH WARM WATER BRAHMI VATI ONE TABLET AT NIGHT AFTER DINNER TO SUPPORT STRESS AND SLEEP IF YOU FEEL MORE TIRED YOU CAN ADD ASHWAGANDHA CHURNA ONE TEASPOON AT NIGHT WITH WARM MILK

FOR EXTERNAL CARE APPLY NEELIBHRINGADI TAILA OR BHRINGARAJ TAILA TO THE SCALP TWO TO THREE TIMES A WEEK GENTLY MASSAGE AND WASH WITH A MILD HERBAL SHAMPOO USE NORMAL WATER NOT VERY HOT

I ALSO STRONGLY ADVISE BASIC BLOOD TESTS LIKE HEMOGLOBIN SERUM FERRITIN THYROID PROFILE VITAMIN B TWELVE AND VITAMIN D BECAUSE IF ANY DEFICIENCY IS PRESENT IT MUST BE CORRECTED FOR HAIR TO REGROW

WITH REGULAR TREATMENT AND CARE HAIR FALL USUALLY REDUCES IN SIX TO EIGHT WEEKS AND NEW HAIR GROWTH IS SEEN IN A FEW MONTHS PLEASE BE PATIENT AND CONSISTENT AND FEEL FREE TO SHARE YOUR TEST REPORTS OR ANY OTHER HEALTH DETAILS SO I CAN GUIDE YOU MORE PERSONALLY

Hair fall continuing for many months shows that the problem is developing from inside rather than from shampoo oil or water In ayurveda this usually happens due to pitta aggravation along with gradual weakness of rasa rakta and asthi dhatu Even if food habits look unchanged mental stress tiredness irregular sleep and reduced digestive fire slowly disturb nourishment to the hair roots which makes hair thin weak and causes excess fall during washing or combing This type of hair fall improves once the internal imbalance is corrected and proper nutrition reaches the scalp

For correction you can take bhringaraj churna half teaspoon morning and night with warm water amalaki churna half teaspoon early morning triphala churna half teaspoon at night with warm water and apply neelibhringadi taila or bhringaraj taila gently on the scalp two to three times weekly Blood tests like hemoglobin ferritin vitamin b12 vitamin d and thyroid profile help to rule out deficiencies Avoid excess heat spicy oily food late nights and mental strain and prefer warm freshly cooked food with a little ghee for better absorption and healthy hair regrowth
