Hello Dealing with hair problems? You’re not alone. Most times, it’s about Pitta + Vata being off, your scalp not getting enough love, and just plain stress. But, hey, Ayurveda’s got your back with some cool, old-school herbs that can really help your hair grow and come back stronger.

TOP AYURVEDIC HERBS FOR YOUR HAIR

1.Bhringraj (Eclipta alba) – The Hair King Helps new hair sprout. Keeps gray hairs away longer. Makes roots stronger.

2.Amla (Emblica officinalis) A great all-around revitalizer. Stops hair from falling out. Makes hair thicker.

3.Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) Kicks stress-related hair loss to the curb. Gets the blood flowing in your scalp.

4.Jatamansi Wakes up sleepy hair follicles. A big help if you’re losing hair.

5.Hibiscus (flower + leaves) Like a natural conditioner. Makes hair thick and shiny.

6.Fenugreek (Methi) Puts a stop to shedding. Feeds your hair shaft.

7.Neem Your go-to for dandruff and scalp issues.

MAKE YOUR OWN AYURVEDIC HAIR OIL

This isn’t just for looks; it’s the real deal.

What you need: Coconut or sesame oil – about 2 cups Bhringraj powder – 2 tablespoons Amla powder – 2 tablespoons Brahmi powder – 1 tablespoon Jatamansi powder – 1 teaspoon Hibiscus petals (fresh or dried) – a handful Fenugreek seeds – 1 tablespoon, crushed

Steps –Mix all the herbs in the oil. —Heat it super low for about 30–40 minutes. -When it stops bubbling and the herbs get dark, you’re done. –Let it cool, then strain it. –Keep it in a glass bottle.

That’s how they did it back in the day!

HOW TO USE IT (IMPORTANT)

Do this 3 times a week: –Warm the oil a bit. –Rub it into your scalp for 10 minutes. –Let it sit for 1–2 hours (or even overnight). –Wash it out with a gentle herbal shampoo.

DON’T FORGET INTERNAL CARE Oil’s great, but you gotta nourish from within too.

MEDICINES to take: Amla powder – 1 teaspoon every day Bhringraj churna – ½ teaspoon every day Ashwagandha – if stress is making your hair fall out

Take them with warm water or milk.

IF YOUR HAIR IS FALLING OUT BECAUSE OF:

The Reason: What to add Hormones: Shatavari Stress: Brahmi + Ashwagandha Dandruff: Neem Thyroid: Kanchanar Guggulu

–New hair might pop up in 6–8 weeks. —Noticeably thicker hair in about 3 months. -Stronger roots in 6 months.

Hair growth takes time; it’s not a quick fix.

HAIR’S WORST ENEMIES (CUT THESE OUT)

–Staying up late –Too much tea or coffee –Fried foods –Not enough protein –Shampooing every day –Washing your hair with cold water

THE AYURVEDIC WAY

Hair’s is indirectly. Linked to your bones, believe it or not. So, treating your hair means a deep, internal refresh. It’s not just about the oil.

If someone says they can bring back your hair in two weeks, don’t believe them. Ayurveda is the Truth, it works slowly but for real.

Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate

🧴 Ayurvedic Hair Growth Oil Preparation (Traditional Method) Ingredients - Base oil: 200 ml coconut oil or sesame oil - Bhringraj powder: 2 tbsp - Amla powder: 2 tbsp - Brahmi powder: 1 tbsp - Neem leaves (dried): 1 tbsp - Fenugreek seeds: 1 tbsp (soaked overnight) - Hibiscus flowers/leaves: 4–5 fresh or dried

Method - Warm the base oil in a thick-bottomed pan. - Add all powdered herbs and soaked fenugreek seeds. - Simmer on low flame for 30–40 minutes until the oil absorbs herbal essence. - Add hibiscus flowers/leaves in the last 10 minutes. - Cool, strain, and store in a glass bottle.

💆 Usage - Massage 2–3 tsp of oil into scalp and hair roots, 2–3 times per week. - Leave overnight or at least 1 hour before washing with mild herbal shampoo. - Regular use for 2–3 months shows visible improvement in hair thickness and reduced hair fall.

⚠️ Precautions - Avoid excessive heating of oil (destroys herbal potency). - Always patch-test before use to rule out allergies. - Balance diet and lifestyle (reduce stress, eat protein-rich foods, practice yoga) for best results.

Warm Regards DR. ANJALI SEHRAWAT
