How to regulate my menstrual cycles naturally with Ayurveda after spotting and negative pregnancy tests? - #53620

lmp 12th feb, ecp on 24th feb, spotting march 2 to 6 , negative bhcg test on 17th march and negative upt on 28th march. visited a gynaec and was suggested primolut n from april 4 to 9 twice a day (5mg) currently on the withdrawal bleed. however i want to regulate my cycles using ayurveda, ashokarisht has helped me before , what other herbs/supplements should i take to regulate my cycles in the coming months. my cycles earlier were 31-32 days and they were scanty but i would get my menses every month. im also scheduling a pcos test panel and an usg to check for any other causes. im extremely anxious and scared bec i do not want amenorrhea. kindly help me out

Your cycle disturbance looks temporary and hormone-related (due to ECP + stress), not permanent. Since you are already getting withdrawal bleed, it is a good sign that your cycle is responding. Focus now should be on hormone balance + stress control, not panic. Keep routine regular. Avoid late nights, excessive exercise, and stress. Eat warm, balanced meals. Do not skip meals. At home, you can take: warm milk at night and include sesame seeds or a small piece of jaggery daily. This supports cycle regularity. • Ashokarishta – 15 ml with equal water twice daily after food • Shatavari tablet – 1 tablet twice daily • Rajapravartini vati – 1 tablet twice daily (only if periods get delayed next cycle) This will help regulate cycles and improve flow gradually. im planning serum tsh and testostoroene on 18th april n starting shatavari today,will it interfere w my blood test and usg a+p?

Shatavari generally does not significantly interfere with TSH, testosterone blood tests, or USG abdomen & pelvis. However, since hormonal markers like testosterone and thyroid are being checked, it is better to be cautious for accurate baseline results. For best accuracy: Ideally, stop Shatavari 24–48 hours before blood test You can restart it after the test It will not affect USG results Shatavari is more of a supportive herb, so short-term use usually does not distort reports, but stopping briefly ensures clean baseline values.
