From an Ayurvedic perspective, kesar in very small amounts (2–4 strands in milk) is generally considered safe during pregnancy and is often used as a mild Rasayana for mood, complexion, and digestion. Only excessive or medicinal doses are cautioned due to its potential ushna virya (warming nature). In such minimal dietary use during early pregnancy, it is not considered harmful to the garbhini or fetus. – but on safe side try to avoid it
Saffron (Kesar) is considered ushna (warming) and is usually introduced after the first trimester, in small amounts. In your case You took only 3–4 strands daily, which is a very mild dose You have no symptoms (bleeding, pain, discomfort) This is generally considered safe and unlikely to cause harm Ayurvedic perspective Small quantities of saffron: Support digestion and mood Improve complexion (varnya) But excess in early pregnancy is avoided due to its heating nature What you should do now No need to panic or take any corrective treatment You may pause saffron till 4th month, then restart in small dose if needed Continue prenatal care, balanced diet, and hydration
