Your symptoms suggest a possible hormonal imbalance, which in Ayurveda could be linked to an aggravated Kapha dosha and impaired Agni (digestive fire), leading to metabolic disturbances and irregular menstrual cycles. Conditions like Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) or hypothyroidism could also be contributing factors, causing weight fluctuations and amenorrhea (absence of periods). In Ayurveda, this could be seen as a result of Kapha accumulation, leading to Aama (toxins) formation, which obstructs the channels (Srotas), affecting both metabolism and menstrual health. To address this, it’s essential to focus on balancing Kapha and stimulating Agni through dietary modifications, regular exercise, and detoxifying therapies like Panchakarma. Herbal remedies such as Triphala for digestion, Ashwagandha for hormonal balance, and Trikatu to boost metabolism may be beneficial. Consultation with an Ayurvedic practitioner is recommended for a personalized treatment plan. Additionally, you should seek medical evaluation for thyroid function and an ultrasound to confirm any underlying conditions like PCOS.

It's frustrating, I get it. Exercise is like this switch that influences your weight so strongly. It’s complicated, but let’s unpack a bit — it's like your body’s asking for balance between various elements. From an Ayurvedic view, there's a hint that perhaps, there might be an imbalance in your Kapha dosha. Kapha governs structure and stability in the body, when it's off, it can lead to weight gain and feeling stuck or heavy. Not getting yer periods means we might be dealing with hormonal imbalances too, often tied into weight fluctuations. When you exercice, you’re actually stoking that digestive fire, the Agni, which crucially impacts metabolism and assimilation of nutrients. If this Agni is weak when you're not working out, it results in piling up undigested stuff in your body, called Ama. This can lead to weight gain. First things first, I’d look at maintaining a daily routine — Ayurveda emphasizes a consistent schedule, waking up early relieving in the morning. Before breakfast, sip on warm water with a touch of lemon or ginger; it’s great for sparking Agni. In the diet, focus on light, warm foods — think cooked veggies, lentils, and whole grains like quinoa or brown rice. Use spices like cumin, coriander, and turmeric, they can support digestion. Stay clear of raw and cold foods since they might dampen your digestive fire. Since menstruation is off, incorporating something like Ashoka or Shatavari might help, but it'd be best to chat with an Ayurvedic physician for these herbs. Stress can also play a havoc on weight and menses, so practices yoga or breathing exercises can help calm the mind and body. Even a simple daily walk can be significant — it’s not about intense workouts always. If things feel off, though, or if missing periods continue, please connect with a healthcare provider to rule out any serious underlying issues! Balancing your body takes time, so be gentle and patient with yourself.
