Hello, Your symptoms point toward insomnia in Ayurveda, mainly due to aggravated vata and Pitta dosha. Overthinking, mental restlessness, and disturbed sleep cycles are classic signs of vata imbalance in the mind along with pitta related mental activity at night Since your condition is recent (4 weeks) but severe, it is very manageable Ayurvedic view -Vata imbalance-> excessive thoughts, worry, light sleep, frequent waking -Pitta aggravation-> over-analysis, replaying the day, mental heat at night -mind disturbance-> inability to switch off thoughts Treatment goals -calm the nervous system -ground vata -cool pitta -promote natural sleep rhythm Internal medications 1) Ksheerbala 101 capsule= 1 cap twice daily after meals =best vata pacifier, nourishes nerves, induces deep sleep, works on brain fatigue, anxiety, restlessness 2) Manasmitra vatakam= 1 tab at night with warm milk =reduces overthinking, improves sleep quality, calms emotional disturbance 3) Saraswatarishta= 15ml + equal water after dinner =supports mental clarity and reduces worries, Balances Vata in mind, reduces mental chatter 4) Brahmi ghrita= 1/2 tsp at bedtime with warm milk = best for memory + sleep, deeply nourishes brain tissues External therapies 1) Head oil massage= ksheerbala taila -10-15 min before sleep =calms nervous system instantly, reduces mental overactivity 2) Foot massage -apply warm ghee on soles before bed = very effective for insomnia Pranayam -nadi sodhana Anulom Vilom= 10 min -bhramari= 7 rounds =immediately reduces thought intensity Yoga -viparita karani -balasana -shavasana Diet -warm, freshly cooked meals -milk with nutmeg at night -ghee very important for vata -almonds soaked, peeled Avoid -coffee and tea after evening -spicy, fried, junk food -late night eating -mobile/ screens before sleep Simple home remedies -nutmeg milk= a pinch of nutmeg in warm milk natural sedative effect -2 drops of warm ghee in each nostril before sleep -Warm bath before bed= relaxes body + reduces vata Investigation needed if symptoms persist > 1 month -thyroid profile -vitamin b12 -vitamin d -stress/anxiety screening Duration of treatment -Improvement within 5-10 days -stable sleep= 3-4 weeks -continue mild support for 6 weeks Important guidance -do not force sleep -> it increases vata -accept thoughts, don’t fight them -create a consistent sleep time -avoid mental stimulation at night Your condition is reversible and common, especially with mental overactivity. Ayurveda focuses not just on sleep but on calming the mind itself, which is the root cause in your case With the above combination of -internal medicines -oil therapies -pranayam -lifestyle correction You can regain deep, natural, uninterrupted sleep without dependency Do follow hope this might be helpful Thank you

Are you currently on any medications? How old are you and what’s your job schedule like? Do you have good appetite and clear bowel activity? Keep the answers to this questions in mind and answer them in reply if possible. You need to follow a good head massage with balaswagandhadi taila for atleast 15 to 20 minutes every day before bath and do foot massage with same oil for atleast 15 minutes before sleep. If you don’t have any appetite reduction please drink milk preferably buffalo milk with aswagandha choorna 5gm on empty stomach and at bedtime. Also take brahmi pearls 1 cap twice daily after food, Manasmitra vataka 2 tab at bedtime Saraswatarishtam 30 ml twice daily after food. Practice yoga asanas like anuloma viloma pranayama, bhramari pranayama, surya bhedi chandra bhedi pranayama etc for reduced stress and excessive thinking. Hi, I can understand how distressing this must be—difficulty falling asleep, frequent awakenings, and constant overthinking are classic signs of Vata aggravation (especially Prana & Manovaha srotas imbalance) in Ayurveda. When the mind becomes overactive (Ati-chinta), it disturbs Manas + Nidra, leading to exactly what you’re experiencing. Since this is ongoing for a few weeks and quite severe, it’s important to calm both mind and nervous system, not just induce sleep. 👉 I am adding some Kerala Ayurveda medicines which are gentle and effective for such conditions: 🌿 Recommended Medicines (Kerala Ayurveda): - Brahmi Pearls – 1 capsule at night after food → Helps calm the mind, reduce overthinking, and promote restful sleep - Aswagandharishta – 15–20 ml with equal water after dinner → Reduces stress, anxiety, and improves overall relaxation and sleep quality - Ashwagandhadi Lehyam – 1 tsp at night (if weakness/fatigue present) → Strengthens nervous system and supports deep sleep

Simple Ayurvedic Routine (very important): - Take warm milk with a pinch of nutmeg (jaiphal) at night - Avoid mobile/screens at least 45–60 mins before sleep - Try slow deep breathing (5–10 mins) before bed - Keep dinner light and before 8–8:30 pm

🛒 Regarding purchase: You can buy these medicines from our this site ask ayurveda and i mentioned some medicine also for your convenience🙂, This is a trusted online platforms, and a reputed Ayurvedic online store.

👉 Important: If thoughts are excessive, don’t ignore mental rest—Ayurveda treats both Sharir (body) + Manas (mind) together. You should start noticing improvement within 2–3 weeks. If you need, I can guide you with a more personalized routine as well. And if you find this guidance helpful and effective, do share your gratitude—it truly motivates us to help you better 🙏🙂

🧘‍♀️ Anulomvilom and Bhramari Pranayam will help. But you have to do it early in the morning only. ❌ Donot get yourself into any addictions. ❌ Donot drink tea or coffee or aerated drinks. ❌ Reduce screen time… No screen in darkness and 1 hour before you sleep. Consume audio form of data rather than visuals before you sleep. Filter the content of data you consume… Let it be spiritual or positive… ✔️ Drink a glass of buffalo milk daily before you sleep; it will help you get a sound sleep. ✔️ 100 steps after both meals are must. ✔️ Eat only home cooked food… Avoid outside food, packed and processed food. ✔️ Prefer natural liquids like fruit juice, coconut water, lemon juice, kokum sharbat over packed ones. 💊 Medication: 💊 Panchendriya Vardhan Tailam 2 drops in each nostril early in the morning empty stomach. Cap. Memorin(S.G.Phytopharma) 2 caps twice a day before food. Syp. Prasham 4 tsp at bed time with lukewarm water. Tab. Manasmitra Vatak 2 tabs at bed time. Include 3-4 tsp of Brahmi ghrita in your meals Head massage with Brahmi oil daily before sleeping.

Namaste, Your symptoms — difficulty falling asleep, frequent awakenings, and continuous thoughts — indicate disturbed sleep due to vata imbalance affecting the mind. The focus should be on calming the mind, improving sleep quality, and relaxing the nervous system. Maintain a fixed sleep routine. Avoid screen exposure at least 1 hour before bed. Take light dinner and keep a gap of 2–3 hours before sleep. Warm milk at night can be helpful. Reduce caffeine, especially in the evening. Simple practices like deep breathing or meditation before bed can help calm thoughts. Ayurvedic medicines with dose and timing: Brahmi Ghrita – 1 teaspoon at bedtime with warm milk Ashwagandha Churna – 1 teaspoon, once daily in the evening with warm milk Saraswatarishta – 15 ml with equal water, twice daily after food External support: Apply a few drops of Ksheerabala Taila on scalp or soles before sleep These are traditionally used to calm the mind, reduce overthinking, and improve sleep quality gradually. With consistent care, sleep improvement can be seen over a few weeks. Consultation can help tailor this further to your needs.
