Ayurvedic Chikitsa for Hyperacidity (Amlapitta) Herbal Remedies: Take Avipattikar Churna (1 tsp) with warm water before meals to balance excess pitta and reduce acidity. Use Muktashukti Bhasma (250 mg) mixed with honey twice daily after meals to soothe the stomach lining. Drink Amla juice (10 ml) mixed with water on an empty stomach for cooling and rejuvenating effects. Dietary Guidelines: Avoid spicy, fried, sour, and fermented foods. Limit caffeine and citrus fruits. Eat smaller, frequent meals. Include cooling foods like cucumber, ash gourd, coconut water, and buttermilk (with roasted cumin). Drink jeera water or coriander seed water throughout the day to reduce heat in the stomach. Lifestyle Tips: Avoid lying down immediately after eating; leave a 2-hour gap before sleeping. Practice Sheetali Pranayama (cooling breath) and Vajrasana after meals to aid digestion. Additional Measures: Take 1 tsp of ghee with warm milk at bedtime to reduce acidity and heal the gut. Chew a piece of jaggery or fennel seeds after meals to aid digestion and prevent nausea. Consistency in following these remedies will bring relief. Consult an Ayurvedic physician for personalized care if needed.

Sounds like you've been on quite a journey trying to find relief. Let's dive into this with a more holistic, Ayurvedic approach. According to Ayurveda, your symptoms suggest Pitta imbalance, specifically in your digestive system. We need to cool down that fiery Pitta and balance your Agni, or digestive fire, to get things more harmonious. First things first, let's talk diet. Avoid spicy, oily, and acidic foods—tomatoes, citrus fruits, and fried foods—these just fuel the fire of hyperacidity. Instead, favor cooling, soothing foods that don't aggravate Pitta, like sweet, juicy fruits (think melons, grapes), cooked veggies, and whole grains like rice. Milk can be a great Pitta pacifier, so a cup of warm milk, maybe with a pinch of cardamom or fennel, can work wonders, both soothing and nourishing. Onto herbal help—try taking amalaki (Indian gooseberry) and licorice root. Amalaki is excellent for cooling Pitta, and licorice helps soothe the mucous membranes in your gut. You can find them as powders or in capsule form; take either one, as per your preference, about half a teaspoon mixed with water after meals twice daily. Lifestyle's a big deal, too. Stress exacerbates Pitta issues, so make sure to have some relaxing activities. Maybe try meditation or gentle yoga—practices like forward bends or shavasana often help. Avoid eating when you're too stressed, eat mindfully and without distraction to really let your digestive system do its job efficiently. And remember, sipping on coriander or fennel tea through the day can help calm the digestive system. But every person's unique, so monitor how your body responds to these changes. It might take some trial and error. If things don’t ease up, we might need to dig deeper with a personalized consultation. Sometimes, it's not just one dosha out of whack, but a complex interaction. Also, listen to your body and if ever in doubt, reach out to a qualified practitioner nearby. Always keep safety first, okay?
