Load up on healthy fats like ghee and sesame oil, which are awesome for vata types who might experience dryness more. Ghee's known for its miracle moistening powers, you can even take a teaspoon on an empty stomach each morning. Include naturally hydrating foods like cucumbers and watermelon - especially good if you got a lot of pitta energy.
Now, hydration doesn’t just come from drinking water, though that’s crucial too. Stay away from ice-cold drinks; in Ayurveda, we believe that messes with your agni (digestive fire). Lukewarm or room-temp's the way to go.
For topical treatments, consider doing an abhyanga which is a self-massage with warm oils. Try almond or coconut oil; sesame is fantastic too, especially if your skin leans towards dryness.
