varicocele - #17594
A few months ago, I started feeling this weird discomfort in my left testicle. It wasn’t exactly pain, but more of a dull, heavy sensation that would come and go. Some days, it felt like a dragging feeling, especially when I stood for long hours or after exercising. At first, I thought maybe I had strained myself at the gym, so I ignored it. But recently, I noticed that the veins around my testicle feel kind of swollen or tangled, almost like a small lump. That’s when I decided to see a doctor. After a physical exam and a scrotal ultrasound, the doctor told me I have varicocele. He explained that it’s basically swollen veins in the scrotum that can affect sperm production and even cause infertility. That part really freaked me out because my wife and I were planning to try for a baby next year. The doctor said that surgery is an option, but he didn’t push for it immediately. He just told me to monitor it and come back if the discomfort gets worse. I started looking into natural ways to manage varicocele because I want to avoid surgery if possible. I read that Ayurveda focuses on improving blood circulation and reducing inflammation. Does Ayurveda have treatments that can actually help shrink or manage varicocele? Are there specific herbs or oils that help with vein health? I saw some mentions of Ashwagandha and Triphala, but I don’t know if they work for this condition. Also, does Ayurveda suggest any lifestyle changes for varicocele? I sit for long hours at work, and I’m wondering if that’s making it worse. Are there exercises or yoga poses that can help? And does diet play a role? I’ve been eating a lot of spicy and processed foods lately—could that be a problem? If anyone here has successfully managed varicocele with Ayurveda, please share what worked. Did you see real improvement, or is surgery the only way? I just want to make sure I do everything possible before considering medical procedures.
