Hi Sumaira,

Can you tell me if you experience any other symptoms, such as cramps, mood swings, or irregularity in your cycle? Also, how is your diet, stress level, and sleep quality? Your menstrual flow and acne could be related to hormonal imbalances, and addressing factors like stress, diet, and possibly Ayurvedic herbs like Shatavari or Ashoka might help balance your hormones.

Hey, I totally get why you’d be feeling anxious about this. Irregular or scanty periods can happen for a few reasons, especially considering our busy and sometimes stressful lifestyle. Let’s tackle this from an Ayurvedic perspective, which I think can be pretty helpful here. In Ayurveda, issues with your menstrual flow can often be related to an imbalance in Vata dosha. And acne can also be a sign of Pitta imbalance. But it’s important to consider your whole mind-body constitution too.

First off, diet. Try including more nourishing and warm foods—like cooked vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats such as ghee. They can really help in balancing Vata. Staying away from processed and spicy foods can help calm Pitta, which might just help with the acne. Hydration is key! Drink warm water through the day; it aids digestion and helps the body to function better overall.

Now, let’s talk lifestyle. Regularity in your sleep and eating patterns does wonders for balancing doshas. Go to bed and wake up around the same time every day, and never skip breakfast. Stress can throw everything off balance too, and things like yoga or meditation can help keep stress in check.

Certain Ayurvedic herbs might be beneficial for you too. Ashwagandha can help balance hormones and reduce stress—it’s like a wonder herb a lot of times. Triphala, on the other hand, is great for digestion and can help balance your system, which could also improve your skin situation.

Don’t forget to track your periods, noting any patterns or changes. It can give you a clearer picture of what’s happening. However, please do get checked by a healthcare professional too, just to make sure there’s nothing serious going on. Safety first!

Lastly, sometimes things don’t click right away with lifestyle changes, but be patient. Small, consistent steps can make a world of difference to our health. Hope you find this helpful, and hoping you see some improvements soon!
