Upper abdomen Pain , H Pylori infection - #20892

Jyoti K

"I've been experiencing persistent upper abdominal pain, just above the navel button, for six months. Despite undergoing an ultrasound, endoscopy, and blood tests, all reports have been negative, showing no signs of any underlying disease. Although the pain persists, I've been taking Ayurvedic medicine, which has helped reduce the pain, but not completely alleviated it.

Considering the symptoms and the absence of clear diagnostic findings, it sounds like there’s a chance that H. Pylori infection, or even an imbalance in your digestive fire (agni), might be a part of the puzzle. In Ayurvedic practice, when dealing with persistent abdominal pain as you’re describing, we look at the possibilities of Vata imbalance, as Vata governs movement and can influence the digestive system if out of balance.

For your specific condition, I’d recommend focusing on balancing Vata and Pitta doshas to support digestion and alleviate discomfort. Begin by incorporating warm foods and drinks into your diet; try to avoid cold, raw food which can aggravate Vata. Consider cooking with spices like cumin, coriander, fennel, and asafoetida, they help in kindling the digestive fire and offer relief.

Another potent method is Trikatu Churna - a combination of black pepper, long pepper, and ginger, which works to stimulate digestion. You can take about 1/4 teaspoon with warm water before meals daily. However, since you mentioned using ayurvedic medicine already, ensure this complements what you are presently taking, not conflicts it.

Pranayama exercises like Anulom Vilom can also be greatly helpful in easing abdominal tension and promoting a calm state of mind, which positively impacts Agni. Try this every morning for 10-15 minutes on an empty stomach.

Be mindful of your lifestyle too; ensure regularity in your meals, avoid extremely spicy or oily food, and embrace a routine that allows for enough rest. Exploration in Ayurvedic practices might bring deeper relief, but it is advisable to stay vigilant and regularly check in with your healthcare provider on these challenges, especially if symptoms persist.

Always remember, everybody’s constitution is different, so it may take some time and adjustments to find what harmonizes well for you.
