Thank you so much for the elaborate reply. Can ashwagandha and shatavari be consumed in tablet forms as well? And I had a prolactin test done and its values were elevated.

It is better to regulate your prolactin levels as well. Please consult a local Ayurvedic gynaec for proper guidance.

I’m really sorry to hear about your miscarriage, and it’s understandable you’d be concerned about your cycles now. Ayurveda sees the menstrual cycle as a reflection of how well energies and elements move and function in the body. It’s like a gentle dance between vata, pitta, and kapha, which can sometimes get a little out of sync after an emotional event or physical change like a miscarriage.

First things first, focus on nourishing and grounding yourself. Daily self-massage with sesame oil can work wonders—it calms the vata dosha, which tends to become aggravated after such events. Vata is responsible for movement and irregular cycles often suggest vata imbalance. Warm foods, like soups or stews, cooked with spices such as cumin, coriander, and fennel are soothing. These help in stimulation of agni (digestive fire), balancing your doshas.

Ashwagandha and Shatavari are herbs traditionally recommended for balancing hormones and supporting reproductive health but, please, consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting any herbs. Each individual’s constitution, or prakriti, is unique and these remedies should be tailored accordingly.

Try a regular daily routine; rising and sleeping at the same time every day can really help bring rhythm back to your cycle, it’s surprising how much it helps! Pranayama and gentle yoga poses, like surya namaskar, are also helpful for reducing stress and balancing dosha imbalances. Don’t tire yourself out, though. Listen to your body.

Tracking your cycle’s natural rhythm using basal body temps or paying attention to cervical mucus can also give insights without stressing over it too much, you know?

If in case, your cycles remain irregular or you have other symptoms, it’s good idea to see a health professional. Combining Ayurveda with conventional care can give a complete picture of what’s going on. Balancing hormones is not just about fixing one thing; it’s about nurturing the whole you.
