I have gained comprehensive clinical experience through my internship and professional duties, which has laid a strong foundation for my medical practice. During my internship, I worked extensively across multiple departments, including casualty, general medicine, general surgery, and obstetrics & gynecology at the Government District Hospital, Gadag. This exposure allowed me to handle a variety of acute and chronic cases, sharpen my clinical assessment skills, and actively participate in patient management under the guidance of senior medical professionals. Following this, I served as a duty doctor at AYUSH Hospital, Gadag Betgeri, where I applied my Ayurvedic knowledge in a clinical setting and contributed to patient care in both outpatient and inpatient departments. I successfully completed 366 days of rigorous internship training at DGM Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Gadag, where I was involved in patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning under supervision. My time there allowed me to integrate classical Ayurvedic principles with practical patient care while developing a keen understanding of hospital operations and multidisciplinary collaboration. These experiences have enhanced my ability to handle diverse medical conditions confidently while maintaining a patient-centered approach. I am dedicated to continuing my journey as an Ayurvedic practitioner with the same passion and commitment, focusing on delivering quality, evidence-based, and holistic healthcare.

White spots on the body, commonly identified as vitiligo, can be quite distressing. Vitiligo, according to Ayurveda, often links with an imbalance in the doshas, specifically pitta, combined with changes in the dhatus. Understanding these imbalances is essential for effectively managing the condition. Firstly, the treatments you've mentioned suggest a focus on re-pigmentation and stimulating melanin production. Sunlight exposure, which your doctor recommended, is indeed crucial because the ultraviolet rays can activate the melanin cells. However, it’s important to expose yourself to sunlight in a controlled way. Aim to spend about 15 to 20 minutes in the morning sun daily, applying the prescribed medication beforehand. Ensure the sun’s rays are not too harsh on the skin to prevent burns. From a dietary perspective, incorporating foods that pacify pitta while balancing vata can benefit. Consume more green leafy vegetables, black gram, and ensure adequate hydration to keep your digestive fire (agni) balanced. Avoid spicy, sour, and fermented foods, as they may aggravate pitta. Herbal remedies like Bakuchi (Psoralea corylifolia) seeds are popular—traditionally, they are soaked and consumed in mild quantities, acting on the skin to re-pigment the white spots. Yet, they can cause sensitivity in some; so it's crucial to consult your physician regarding this. Turmeric and mustard oil paste is a simple home remedy known to improve the condition. Mix about 5 teaspoons of turmeric in 250 ml of mustard oil and apply to affected areas twice daily for a few weeks continually as konsistency is key. Stress is also a big factor in dosha imbalance, practices like yoga or pranayam (breathing exercise) significantly help in calming the mind and promoting balance in the doshas. Remember that vitiligo often requires a holistic approach for improvement. Patience and consistency in following a well-planned regimen are vital, sometimes it feels like it's a slow process but with time, you'll able to observe positive changes. If the spots increase or any irritation occurs, it's wise to promptly consult your healthcare provider.
