Oh, I get how frustrating this can be for your brother, especially with the exessive sweating making it hard to step out. In Ayurveda, sweating is tied to the balance or imbalance of our body's doshas, particularly Pitta dosha. When Pitta's outta whack, sweating can really go overboard. Let's dig into some things he might look at doing. First, pay carefull attention to his diet, making sure it's cooling and soothing to avoid more Pitta aggravation. I’d say limit spicy, oily, and hot foods, and dial up the fresher, cool foods like cucumbers, leafy greens, and melons. Drinking coconut water can also help cool the body from the inside. Practicing some stress management too – it plays a role. Yoga and Pranayama should be part of his daily routine, they really support balancing the doshas, esp Pitta. Maybe suggest Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing) to him, it's calming. And, synthetic fabrics could make things worse, so he should go with loose, breathable clothes. Like, cotton! It gives his skin some breathing space. There’s also this Ayurvedic herb called Ashwagandha, which supports reducing stress hormones, again keeps sweating in check. But before he jumps into herbs, check with an Ayurvedic doc, just to make sure it fits his body type and with his diabetes. Another biggie? Stay hydrated! Sometimes extra sweating leads to dehydration, make sure he's drinking plenty of water but not ice cold, room temperature or slightly cool is best! Oh, and for the male pattern baldness...it's likely separate but linked to genetics and possibly Pitta too, might be good to chat with a specialist on that one for targeted treatment. While these suggestions may help manage the sweating to some extent, I'd recommend also checking in with a physician to rule out any underlying medical issues that might be contributing this problem. Better to be sure!
