Neo Natural's ProLong Tablet - #30858

Scarlett

I am really confused about this Neo Natural's ProLong Tablet stuff. A few months ago, I started havin’ some issues with low energy and stamina, specially during workouts. Thought it was just a phase or maybe too much stress from work, you know? Anyway, my friend recommended the Neo Natural's ProLong Tablet, said it helped him a lot. I tried it for a couple of weeks, and at first it felt like things were getting better. Like, I was breezing through my workouts! But then I started getting these weird headaches and I felt kinda jittery, like I had too much caffeine or something. Has anyone else had a similar experience with Neo Natural's ProLong Tablet? I’m worried but also want to figure out if those headaches are normal or a sign I should stop taking it. The other day I read somewhere that it can increase your blood pressure too, so I've been checking my readings but they seem okay. Still, should I talk to my doc or just, you know, ride it out more? I really thought Neo Natural's ProLong Tablet was gonna be my go-to solution! Any advice would be awesome, especially if anyone’s used it long-term! Just feel like I’m walking on eggshells with all these side effects and wanna make sure I’m not doing more harm than good. Thanks!

Doctors' responses

Firstly, let’s address that feeling of jitteriness and headaches you’re experiencing. It does sound like they could be linked to the ProLong Tablet, especially if these symptoms started after you began taking it. These tablets often contain ingredients like high levels of caffeine or stimulants that can boost energy and stamina temporarily but might cause side effects, particularly if one’s sensitive to such compounds. While these supplements can offer a temporary fix, they may not address the root cause of your low energy and stamina.

It’s also encouraging that you’ve been monitoring your blood pressure — that’s an important step to ensure nothing more serious is going on. Even if your readings are currently normal, it’s wise to remain cautious since these supplements can sometimes have delayed effects or interact with other substances you’re consuming. It’s definitely worthwhile to discuss these symptoms with your healthcare provider or a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner. They can provide a thorough evaluation and suggest whether you should discontinue the supplement.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, low energy and stamina can be often caused by a vitiation of the Vata dosha, or imbalanced Agni (digestive fire). Incorporating grounding and nourishing foods like whole grains, root vegetables, and healthy fats into your diet can help bolster energy levels from within. Practicing regular diaphragmatic breathing or meditation might help manage stress, potentially reducing the feeling of burnout you mentioned. Also, ensure you’re staying hydrated and getting enough quality sleep, as these natural remedies can significantly affect energy levels.

For sustained energy, consider herbs like Ashwagandha, which supports stamina and balances stress; or Brahmi, for mental clarity and focus. However, always consult with a health professional before combining herbs with any supplement you’re currently taking, to avoid unwanted interactions.

The issues you’re experiencing with Neo Natural’s ProLong Tablet could be linked to its ingredients or how your body responds to it. The headaches and jittery feeling suggest a possible stimulant effect, potentially from compounds like caffeine or similar substances often found in energy-boosting supplements. These effects could lead to adrenal imbalance, indirectly affecting your doshas—especially vata, known for nervous system irregularities.

The advice here, rooted in Siddha-Ayurvedic understanding, would be to seriously re-evaluate the use of such supplements when negative effects arise. Given your symptoms, it would be wise to discontinue the use of the tablet and observe if there’s an improvement. Addressing the root of your energy issues might be more effective. Balancing your vata dosha through calming practices like yoga or pranayama can be beneficial. You can also try incorporating foods like sweet potatoes, oats, avocados, and nuts into your diet to stabilize energy levels.

For a holistic approach, focus on your agni or digestive fire. When your digestion is strong, nutrient assimilation improves, possibly enhancing your natural energy levels. Regular intervals of eating with balanced meals, including digestive spices like cumin and ginger, might help optimize your agni.

It’s definitely wise to consult your doctor about these side effects, especially if they’re impacting your daily life. Discontinuation will help determine if the tablet is the culprit and ensure your well-being. Always check in with a healthcare professional before continuing or starting any new supplement, especially in context of consistent adverse symptoms. Prioritizing your safety is key and a medical opinion will be beneficial here.
