Exploring non-surgical options through Ayurveda for acoustic schwannoma and its symptoms such as tinnitus and hearing loss is thoughtful. Ayurveda, focusing on balance, seeks to address root causes.

Firstly, understanding your constitution (prakriti) and which doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) are imbalanced is crucial. Acoustic schwannomas could often correlate with Vata imbalances, affecting sensory functions. Your body’s energy channels might be disrupted, impacting ear health.

Dietary Changes: Include more grounding and Vata pacifying foods in your diet. Warm, cooked meals with healthy fats like ghee and oils can help. Favor sweet, sour, and salty tastes. Avoid overly spicy or fried foods as they may aggravate Vata.

Herbal Remedies: Ashwagandha can support nerve health, and Brahmi may aid in calming the mind and sensory overload. Consult an Ayurvedic physician for accurate doses as they’re essentials to managing symptoms.

Nasya Therapy: Applying a few drops of warm sesame oil to your nose each morning may help, a practice in Ayurveda for sinus health and cognitive function. It, theoretically, could assist with auditory nerves and reducing Vata imbalance.

Lifestyle: Practice Pranayama (breathing exercises) daily to enhance auditory function. Anulom Vilom or Nadi Shodhana may bring balance and clarity. Ensure a regular sleep schedule, since rest is vital for Vata balance.

Mindfulness and Stress Reduction: Meditation, when practiced regularly, can reduce stress levels, which may indirectly alleviate symptoms like tinnitus.

While Ayurveda offers supportive care, it’s crucial to discuss all options, including conventional medical interventions, with healthcare professionals familiar with your condition. Non-surgical approaches might manage symptoms, but ongoing monitoring of the schwannoma’s size and impact is vital to ensure comprehensive care.

Thanks so much for clarifying this! I had no idea mixing meds could be risky. I'll stick to my doctor's meds and look into Ayurveda separately.
