Hello I completely understand your concern. Long-term OCD, disturbed sleep, and liver weakness together indicate manasika (mental) and pittaja (liver-related) imbalance in your body. But don’t worry we are here to help you out😊

✅ AYURVEDIC PLAN OF MANAGEMENT

✅INTERNAL MEDICATION

✅ For OCD and disturbed sleep (Manas Roga Chikitsa)

1 Brahmi Vati (Gold) – 1 tablet twice daily after food (improves calmness and concentration).

2 Manasmitra Vatakam – 1 tablet twice daily (reduces obsessive thoughts, anxiety, and insomnia).

3 Ashwagandha Churna – 1 tspwith milk at bed time (restores balance, promotes good sleep).

✅For liver support and itching:

1 Lipomap 1-0-1 after food

2 Bhumyamalaki Churna – 1 tsp with honey daily to regenerate liver cells.

✅LOCAL AND RELAXATION THERAPIES

Shiro Abhyanga (Head Massage) – Use Ksheerabala Taila before bedtime; calms mind, reduces anxiety, and improves sleep.

Shirodhara Therapy – Pouring medicated oil (like Ksheerabala Taila ) on the forehead; helps in OCD, insomnia, and stress relief. ( To be done in near by panchakarma center)

Padabhyanga (Foot Massage) – Apply warm sesame oil before sleeping to reduce mental overactivity and promote deep sleep.

✅DIET MODIFICATION

✅Include:

Moong dal, rice gruel, bottle gourd, ridge gourd, pumpkin, and bitter vegetables. Warm cow’s milk with nutmeg (jaiphal) and ghee at bedtime for better sleep. Fresh fruits like pomegranate, amla, papaya, and apple. Use cow ghee regularly (it soothes Pitta and nourishes brain tissue).

❌Avoid: Fried, spicy, sour, fermented, and oily foods. Tea, coffee, alcohol, tobacco, and late-night screen time. Suppressing natural urges or excessive fasting.

✅ Lifestyle & Mind Care

Go to bed before 10:30 pm and wake up early.

Practice Brahmi Pranayama, Anulom-Vilom, and Yoga Nidra for 15–20 minutes daily.

Spend time in calm surroundings; avoid overthinking or overuse of mobile/social media.

Listening to calming instrumental music or mantra chanting before bed can help stabilize thoughts.

✅ When to Reduce Allopathic Medicines

Gradual reduction of psychiatric or liver-related medicines should be done only under the supervision of your treating doctor.

Ayurvedic support can help in the transition phase by balancing mind and liver function, but sudden withdrawal may cause rebound anxiety or sleeplessness.

With regular practice of Ayurvedic regimen for 6–8 weeks, you can expect –Improved mental peace and reduced compulsive thoughts –Sound and deep sleep –Reduction in liver inflammation and itching

Wishing you a good health😊

Warm regards, Dr Snehal Vidhate

(Ayurvedic Plan of Management)

(Internal Medications)

(Local & Relaxation Therapies)

(Diet Modifications)

(Lifestyle & Mind Care)

HELLO,

A) OCD (Obsessive compulsive disorder) In OCD, the mind becomes trapped in repetitive thoughts and actios You may know the thoughts or actions are unnecessary but still feel anxious unless you do them

FROM AYURVEDA’S VIEW -This is mainly due to vata imbalance in the brain-especially prana vata, which governs the nervous system and mental activity -sometimes pitta (the energy of the heat and intensity) also becomes high, leading to anger, perfectionism, or restless ness -When vata and pitta stay disturbed for long, they weaken mental clarity and increases activity anxiety and confusion fear- causing mental unrest and obsessive behaviour

B) SLEEP DISTURBANCES Ayurveda says sleep is one of the three pilers of health (along with food and regulated life) When the mind is overactive (vata-pitta aggravated), it becomes difficult difficult to calm down and enter deep sleep

COMMON CAUSES -mentaloverwork or screen exposure -irregular meal/sleep times -stress and anxiety -excess tea/coffee

C) LIVER PROBLEMS -The liver is the main seat of Pitta dosha, which represents digestion, metabolism and bile production. When pitta becomes excessive or gets mixed with toxins it causes -burning sensation or itching -fatigue or mild discomfort in the upper abdomen -allergies or skin rashes -irritability or anger (as liver heat affects the mind too)

So, mind ad liver are both disturbed by pitta and vata imbalance

TREATMENT GOALS -calm vata and pitta -detoxify liver and blood -nourish Ojas -restore sattva guna -promote sound sleep

INTERNAL MEDICATIOS

1) ASHWAGANDHA CAPSULES= 500mg cap twice daily with milk for 3 months =reduces stress, hormones, promotes sleep, nourishes nerves

7) GUDUCHI CAPSULES= 500mg cap twice daily after meals for 3 months = reduces inflamamtion, improves liver function

EXTERNAL THERAPIES

1) WARM OIL MASSAGE= BRAHMI OIL -over whole body before bath =calms vata, improves sleep, reduces muscle tension

2) NASYA= instilll 2 drops of brahmi oil in each nostril daily morning = strengthens brain, relieves stress, clear sinuses

HOME REMEDIES -drink warm water with a pinch of turmeric every morning to detoxify the liver -Take 1 tsp of Amla juice + 1 tsp honey daily for cooling and liver support -Have a glass of warm milk with nutmeg or ashwagandha at night -Eat roasted fennel seeds or coriander seed water to reduce heat and calm digestion -apply castor oil on feet before bed for better sleep and to pacify pitta

LIFESTYLE CHANGES -Maintain a regular routine- wake, meals, sleep, same time daily -avoid late night screen use, overthinknig, and multitasking -reduce noise, caffeine, alcohol, and spicy or oily foods -spend time in nature, morning walks under mild sunlight -practice gratitude journaling or calm hobbies like drawing, gardening

YOGA AND PRANAYAM -Nadi sodhana= 5-10 min= balances brain hemisphere, calms vata -Bhramari= 5 rounds before sleep= induces peace and better sleep -Sheetali or sheetkari= 5 min= cools pitta and liver heat

ASANAS -shavasana -childs pose -viparita karani -vajrasana -pawanmuktasana =relaxation and stress releif

MEDITATION -so ham, or om chanting= 10 min- mental cleansing, reduces OCD thoughts

DIET -soft, warm, mildly spiced meals -cow’s ghee, milk, dates, almonds, moong dal, rice, oats -green leafy vegetables, pumpkin, bottle gourd -herbal teas=brahmi, chamomile, or coriander fennel tea

AVOID -fried, sour, spicy , fermented food -coffee, energy drinks, alcohol -very cold or raw food -red meat and excess salt

GENERAL TIPS -eat in calm environment -do not skip meals -eat 2-3 hours before bedtime -drink warm water through the day

FOR GENTLE DETOX -TRIPHALA CHURNA= 1 tsp with warm water at bedtime

-Your mind and body are deeply connected= healing one helps the other -OCD and insomnia are not signs of weakness; they are expressions of an imbalanced dosha system -Ayurveda doesn’t suppress symptoms- it restores harmony by calming the root disturbance -Be paitent- healing takes 8-12 weeks, but the effects are deep and lasting -consistency in lifestyle, diet, and thought patterns is the real medicine

“When the mind becomes stlll, the body heals naturally”

DO FOLLOW

HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL

THANK YOU

Dr. Gursimran Jeet Singh
I am Dr. Gursimran Jeet Singh, born and raised in Punjab where culture and traditions almost naturally guided me toward Ayurveda. From very early days I felt more drawn to natural ways of healing, and this curiosity finally led me to pursue Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) at Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College, Chandigarh—an institution known for shaping strong Ayurvedic physicians. During those years I learned not only the classical texts and treatment methods, but also how to look at health through a very practical, human lense. For the past five years I worked in clinical practice, where patients come with wide range of concerns—from chronic digestion troubles to autoimmune illness—and I try to integrate both Ayurveda and modern medical knowledge to give them the most complete care I can. Sometimes western diagnostics help me to understand the stage of disease, while Ayurveda helps me design treatment that address root cause. This bridging approach is not always easy, but I believe it’s necessary for today’s health challanges. Currently I am also pursuing higher studies in Panchakarma therapy. Panchakarma is an area I feel very strongly about—it is not just detox, it is a whole system of cleansing, rejuvenation, rebalancing, and I want to deepen my expertise here. In practice, I combine Panchakarma with lifestyle guidance, diet planning, herbal remedies, yoga and mindfulness practices depending on what a patient actually needs at that moment. No two cases are same, and Ayurveda reminds me daily that healing must be personal. My approach is always focused on root-cause management rather than temporary relief. Diet, herbs, therapeutic oils, meditation routines, and simple daily habits—they all work together when chosen rightly. Sometimes results come slow, sometimes faster, but I try to keep care sustainable and compassionate. Helping someone regain energy, sleep better, or reduce pain, that is the real achievement in my journey. And I continue learning, because Ayurveda is deep, it doesn’t finish with one degree or one training, it grow with every patient and every experiance. My specialties lie in treating a range of chronic and lifestyle-related conditions using Ayurveda’s time-tested principles, tailored to each individual’s unique constitution (Prakriti). I have significant expertise in managing digestive disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), acid reflux, constipation, diabetes, obesity and inflammatory bowel diseases. I also specialize in addressing stress-related and mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, insomnia, and burnout, which are increasingly common in today’s fast-paced world. By integrating therapies like Shirodhara (oil pouring on the forehead) to calm the nervous system, Abhyanga (herbal oil massages) to balance Vata dosha, and adaptogenic herbs like Ashwagandha and Brahmi, I help patients achieve mental clarity and emotional resilience. In the field of musculoskeletal and joint health, I excel in treating conditions like arthritis (rheumatoid and osteoarthritis), back pain, sciatica, and sports injuries. Using therapies such as Kati Basti (localized oil retention on the lower back) and potent anti-inflammatory herbs like Guggulu and Shallaki, I focus on reducing inflammation, improving joint mobility, and strengthening tissues. My treatments have helped many patients, particularly those seeking non-invasive alternatives, regain mobility and reduce pain through a blend of internal medications and external therapies. Skin disorders are another key area of my practice, where I address conditions like eczema, psoriasis, acne, and pigmentation issues holistically. By focusing on blood purification and balancing Pitta dosha and detoxifying Panchakarma techniques like Raktamokshana (bloodletting). My approach targets dietary and lifestyle triggers, offering sustainable results for clients who previously relied on temporary solutions like topical steroids. My dual expertise in Ayurveda and modern medicine allows me to create integrative treatment plans that are both effective and safe. I am deeply committed to patient education, empowering individuals to embrace Ayurvedic principles for sustainable health. Through this online platform, I am excited to offer virtual consultations, making the profound benefits of Ayurveda accessible to all. Whether you seek relief from a specific condition or aim to enhance overall vitality, I look forward to guiding you on your journey to balance and well-being with compassion and expertise.

Dr. Anirudh Deshmukh
I am Dr Anurag Sharma, done with BAMS and also PGDHCM from IMS BHU, which honestly shaped a lot of how I approach things now in clinic. Working as a physician and also as an anorectal surgeon, I’ve got around 2 to 3 years of solid experience—tho like, every day still teaches me something new. I mainly focus on anorectal care (like piles, fissure, fistula stuff), plus I work with chronic pain cases too. Pain management is something I feel really invested in—seeing someone walk in barely managing and then leave with actual relief, that hits different. I’m not really the fancy talk type, but I try to keep my patients super informed, not just hand out meds n move on. Each case needs a bit of thinking—some need Ksharasutra or minor para surgical stuff, while others are just lifestyle tweaks and herbal meds. I like mixing the Ayurved principles with modern insights when I can, coz both sides got value really. It’s like—knowing when to go gentle and when to be precise. Right now I’m working hard on getting even better with surgical skills, but also want to help people get to me before surgery's the only option. Had few complicated cases where patience n consistency paid off—no shortcuts but yeah, worth it. The whole point for me is to actually listen first, like proper listen. People talk about symptoms but also say what they feel—and that helps in understanding more than any lab report sometimes. I just want to stay grounded in my work, and keep growing while doing what I can to make someone's pain bit less every day.

Dr. Ayush Varma
I am an Ayurvedic physician with an MD from AIIMS—yeah, the 2008 batch. That time kinda shaped everything for me... learning at that level really forces you to think deeper, not just follow protocol. Now, with 15+ years in this field, I mostly work with chronic stuff—autoimmune issues, gut-related problems, metabolic syndrome... those complex cases where symptoms overlap n patients usually end up confused after years of going in circles. I don’t rush to treat symptoms—I try to dig into what’s actually causing the system to go off-track. I guess that’s where my training really helps, especially when blending classical Ayurveda with updated diagnostics. I did get certified in Panchakarma & Rasayana therapy, which I use quite a lot—especially in cases where tissue-level nourishment or deep detox is needed. Rasayana has this underrated role in post-illness recovery n immune stabilization, which most people miss. I’m pretty active in clinical research too—not a full-time academic or anything, but I’ve contributed to studies on how Ayurveda helps manage diabetes, immunity burnout, stress dysregulation, things like that. It’s been important for me to keep a foot in that evidence-based space—not just because of credibility but because it keeps me from becoming too rigid in practice. I also get invited to speak at wellness events n some integrative health conferences—sharing ideas around patient-centered treatment models or chronic care via Ayurvedic frameworks. I practice full-time at a wellness centre that’s serious about Ayurveda—not just the spa kind—but real, protocol-driven, yet personalised medicine. Most of my patients come to me after trying a lot of other options, which makes trust-building a huge part of what I do every single day.

Dr. Maitri Bhavesh Kumar Acharya
I am Dr. Maitri, currently in my 2nd year of MD in Dravyaguna, and yeah, I run my own Ayurvedic clinic in Ranoli where I’ve been seeing patients for 2 years now. Honestly, what pulled me into this path deeper is how powerful herbs really are—when used right. Not just randomly mixing churnas but actually understanding their rasa, virya, vipaka etc. That’s kinda my zone, where textbook knowledge meets day-to-day case handling. My practice revolves around helping people with PCOD, acne, dandruff, back pain, stiffness in knees or joints that never seem to go away. And I don’t jump to giving a long list of medicines straight away—first I spend time figuring out their prakriti, their habits, food cycle, what triggers what… basically all the small stuff that gets missed. Then comes the plan—herbs (single or compound), some diet reshuffling, and always some lifestyle nudges. Sometimes they’re tiny, like sleep timing. Sometimes big like proper seasonal detox. Being into Dravyaguna helps me get into the depth of herbs more confidently. I don’t just look at the symptom—I think okay what guna will counter this? Should the drug be snigdha, ushna, tikta? Is there a reverse vipaka that’ll hurt the agni? I ask these questions before writing any combo. That’s made a huge diff in outcomes. Like I had this case of chronic urticaria that would flare up every week, and just tweaking the herbs based on sheetala vs ushna nature... helped calm the system in 3 weeks flat. Not magic, just logic. I also work with women who are struggling with hormonal swings, mood, delayed periods or even unexplained breakouts. When hormones go haywire, the skin shows, digestion slows, and mind gets foggy too. I keep my approach full-circle—cleansing, balancing, rejuvenating. No quick fixes, I tell them early on. What I’m hoping to do more of now is make Ayurveda feel practical. Not overwhelming. Just simple tools—ahara, vihara, aushadha—used consistently, with some trust in the body’s own healing. I’m still learning, still refining, but honestly, seeing people feel in control of their health again—that’s what keeps me rooted to this.

Dr. Sara Garg
I am someone who believes Ayurveda isn’t just some old system — it’s alive, and actually still works when you use it the way it's meant to be used. My practice mostly revolves around proper Ayurvedic diagnosis (rogi & roga pariksha types), Panchakarma therapies, and ya also a lot of work with herbal medicine — not just prescribing but sometimes preparing stuff myself when needed. I really like that hands-on part actually, like knowing where the herbs came from and how they're processed... changes everything. One of the things I pay a lot of attention to is how a person's lifestyle is playing into their condition. Food, sleep, bowel habits, even small emotional patterns that people don't even realize are affecting their digestion or immunity — I look at all of it before jumping to treatment. Dietary therapy isn’t just telling people to eat less fried food lol. It’s more about timing, combinations, seasonal influence, and what suits their prakriti. That kind of detail takes time, and sometimes patients don’t get why it matters at first.. but slowly it clicks. Panchakarma — I do it when I feel it's needed. Doesn’t suit everyone all the time, but in the right case, it really clears the stuck layers. But again, it's not magic — people need to prep properly and follow instructions. That's where strong communication matters. I make it a point to explain everything without dumping too much Sanskrit unless they’re curious. I also try to keep things simple, like I don’t want patients feeling intimidated or overwhelmed with 10 things at once. We go step by step — sometimes slow, sometimes quick depending on the case. There’s no “one protocol fits all” in Ayurveda and frankly I get bored doing same thing again and again. Whether it’s a fever that won’t go or long-term fatigue or gut mess — I usually go deep into what's behind it. Surface-level fixes don’t last. I rather take the time than rush into wrong herbs. It’s more work, ya, but makes a diff in long run.

Dr. Surya Bhagwati
I am a Senior Ayurveda Physician with more than 28 years in this field — and trust me, it still surprises me how much there is to learn every single day. Over these years, I’ve had the chance to treat over 1 lakh patients (probably more by now honestly), both through in-person consults and online. Some come in with a mild cough, others with conditions no one’s been able to figure out for years. Each case brings its own rhythm, and that’s where real Ayurveda begins. I still rely deeply on classical tools — *Nadi Pariksha*, *Roga-Rogi Pariksha*, proper *prakriti-vikriti* mapping — not just ticking symptoms into a list. I don’t believe in ready-made cures or generic charts. Diagnosis needs attention. I look at how the disease behaves *inside* that specific person, which doshas are triggering what, and where the imbalance actually started (hint: it’s usually not where the pain is). Over the years I’ve worked with pretty much all age groups and all kinds of health challenges — from digestive upsets & fevers to chronic, autoimmune, hormonal, metabolic and degenerative disorders. Arthritis, diabetes, PCOD, asthma, thyroid... but also things like unexplained fatigue or joint swelling that comes and goes randomly. Many of my patients had already “tried everything else” before they walked into Ayurveda, and watching their systems respond slowly—but surely—is something I don’t take lightly. My line of treatment usually combines herbal formulations (classical ones, not trendy ones), Panchakarma detox when needed, and realistic dietary and lifestyle corrections. Long-term healing needs long-term clarity — not just short bursts of symptom relief. And honestly, I tell patients that too. I also believe patient education isn’t optional. I explain things. Why we’re doing virechana, why the oil changed mid-protocol, why we pause or shift the meds after a few weeks. I want people to feel involved, not confused. Ayurveda works best when the patient is part of the process, not just receiving instructions. Even now I keep learning — through texts, talks, patient follow-ups, sometimes even mistakes that taught me what not to do. And I’m still committed, still fully into it. Because for me, this isn’t just a job. It’s a lifelong responsibility — to restore balance, protect *ojas*, and help each person live in tune with themselves. That’s the real goal.

Dr. Fabin John Maliyeakkal
I am working in the space of Marma therapy since the past 5+ years, and honestly the deeper I go into it the more I realize how underrated this science is!! My work’s mostly centered around helping people reconnect with their body’s natural healing using marma chikitsa—not just as a treatment, but like a whole experience. These vital energy points, when stimulated right, can shift a lot—pain, stiffness, nerve issues, even stuff you didn’t think was linked, starts to shift. I work a lot with musculoskeletal conditions—like joint immobility, frozen shoulder, cervical stuff, backaches, and also sports injuries or slipped disc-type of nerve compressions. Sometimes just working the pressure point opens up movement, and you don’t always need pills or heavy treatment lines. I try to reduce dependance on medicines as much as possible unless really-really needed, cause Ayurveda always says, nidan parivarjan is the first step. My sessions always go beyond just the therapy table—I talk diet, daily routine, what their lifestyle actually looks like, and make tweaks that fit them. Like, no copy-paste plan, coz everyone’s prakriti is so different, right?? This root-cause approach helps not only with healing but also that long-term balance people are usually missing. I really believe Marma therapy has this ancient power to reset people, especially in times where stress and chronic fatigue is just everywhere. My aim is to revive it in a way that fits modern life—clean, simple, but rooted. And yeah, while I’ve seen results, I also keep learning from every case—some days you think you know the whole protocol and then boom, a patient shows you something new. That’s the beauty of this path.

Dr. Prasad Pentakota
I am Dr. P. Prasad, and I’ve been in this field for 20+ years now, working kinda across the board—General Medicine, Neurology, Dermatology, Cardiology—you name it. Didn’t start out thinking I’d end up spanning that wide, but over time, each area sort of pulled me in deeper. And honestly, I like that mix. It lets me look at a patient not just through one lens but a whole system-wide view... makes more sense when treating something that won’t fit neatly in one category. I’ve handled everything from day-to-day stuff like hypertension, diabetes, or skin infections to more serious neuro and cardiac problems. Some cases are quick—diagnose, treat, done. Others take time, repeated check-ins, figuring out what’s really going on beneath those usual symptoms. And that’s where the detail matters. I’m pretty big on thorough diagnosis and patient education—because half the problem is ppl just not knowing what’s happening inside their own body. What’s changed for me over years isn’t just knowledge, it’s how much I lean on listening. If you miss what someone didn’t say, you might also miss their actual illness. And idk, after seeing it play out so many times, I do believe combining updated medical practice with basic empathy really shifts outcomes. Doesn’t have to be complicated... it just has to be consistent. I keep up with research too—new drugs, diagnostics, cross-specialty updates etc., not because it’s trendy, but cuz it’s necessary. Patients come in better read now than ever. You can’t afford to fall behind. The end goal’s the same tho—help them heal right, not just fast. Ethical practice, evidence-based, and sometimes just being there to explain what’s going on. That’s what I stick to.

Dr. M.Sushma
I am Dr. Sushma M and yeah, I’ve been in Ayurveda for over 20 yrs now—honestly still learning from it every day. I mostly work with preventive care, diet logic, and prakriti-based guidance. I mean, why wait for full-blown disease when your body’s been whispering for years, right? I’m kinda obsessed with that early correction part—spotting vata-pitta-kapha imbalances before they spiral into something deeper. Most ppl don’t realize how much power food timing, digestion rhythm, & basic routine actually have… until they shift it. Alongside all that classical Ayurveda, I also use energy medicine & color therapy—those subtle layers matter too, esp when someone’s dealing with long-term fatigue or emotional heaviness. These things help reconnect not just the body, but the inner self too. Some ppl are skeptical at first—but when you treat *beyond* the doshas, they feel it. And I don’t force anything… I just kinda match what fits their nature. I usually take time understanding a person’s prakriti—not just from pulse or skin or tongue—but how they react to stress, sleep patterns, their relationship with food. That whole package tells the story. I don’t do textbook treatment lines—I build a plan that adjusts *with* the person, not on top of them. Over the years, watching patients slowly return to their baseline harmony—that's what keeps me in it. I’ve seen folks come in feeling lost in symptoms no one explained… and then walk out weeks later understanding their body better than they ever did. That, to me, is healing. Not chasing symptoms, but restoring rhythm. I believe true care doesn’t look rushed, or mechanical. It listens, observes, tweaks gently. That's the kind of Ayurveda I try to practice—not loud, but deeply rooted.

Dr. Snehal Tasgaonkar
I am an Ayurvedic physician with around 7 yrs clinical experience, though honestly—feels like I’ve lived double that in patient hours. I studied from a govt. medical college (reputed one) where I got deep into classical Ayurvedic texts n clinical logic. I treat everything from chronic stuff like arthritis, IBS, eczema... to more sudden conditions that just pop up outta nowhere. I try to approach each case by digging into the *why*, not just the *what*. I mean—anyone can treat pain, but if you don’t catch the doshic imbalance or metabolic root, it just comes bak right? I use Nadi Pariksha a lot, but also other classical signs to map prakriti-vikruti, dhatu status n agni condition... you know the drill. I like making people *understand* their own health too. Doesn’t make sense to hand meds without giving them tools to prevent a relapse. My Panchakarma training’s been a core part of my work. I do Abhyanga, Swedana, Basti etc regularly—not just detox but also as restorative therapy. Actually seen cases where patients came in exhausted, foggy... and post-Shodhana, they're just lit up. That part never gets old. Also I always tie diet & lifestyle changes into treatment. It’s non-negotiable for me, bcs long-term balance needs daily changes, not just clinic visits. I like using classical formulations but I stay practical too—if someone's not ready for full-scale protocol, I try building smaller habits. I believe healing’s not just abt treating symptoms—it’s abt helping the body reset, then stay there. I’m constantly refining what I do, trying to blend timeless Ayurvedic theory with real-time practical needs of today’s patients. Doesn’t always go perfect lol, but most times we see real shifts. That’s what keeps me going.

Dr. Keerthana PV
I am an Ayurvedic doctor who kinda grew into this path naturally—my roots are in Kerala, and I did my internship at VPSV Ayurveda College in Kottakkal, which honestly was one of the most eye-opening stages of my life. That place isn’t just a college, it’s a deep well of real Ayurveda. The kind that’s lived, not just studied. During my time there, I didn’t just observe—I *practiced*. Diagnosing, treating, understanding the patient beyond their symptoms, all that hands-on stuff that textbooks don’t really teach. It’s where I learned the rhythm of classical Kerala Ayurveda, the art of pulse reading, and how Panchakarma ain’t just about detox but more about deep repair. I work closely with patients—always felt more like a guide than just a doctor tbh. Whether it's about fixing a chronic issue or preventing one from happening, I focus on the full picture. I give a lot of attention to diet (pathya), routine, mental clutter, and stress stuff. Counseling on these isn’t an ‘extra’—I see it as a part of healing. And not the preachy kind either, more like what works *for you*, your lifestyle, your space. Also yeah—I’m a certified Smrithi Meditation Consultant from Kottakkal Ayurveda School of Excellence. This kinda allowed me to mix mindfulness with medicine, which I find super important, especially in today’s distracted world. I integrate meditation where needed—some patients need a virechana, some just need to breathe better before they sleep. There’s no one-size-fits-all and I kinda like that part of my job the most. I don’t claim to know it all, but I listen deeply, treat with care, and stay true to the Ayurvedic principles I was trained in. My role feels less about ‘curing’ and more about nudging people back to their natural balance... it’s not quick or flashy, but it feels right.
