is khadi natural shampoo good - #41491

Jaxon

I am struggling with my hair lately, like, seriously! Every time I wash it, I find more and more hair in the drain, and it’s kinda freaking me out. A friend suggested I try this brand called Khadi. She swears by it and keeps going on about how "is khadi natural shampoo good" for hair fall and dryness. My main concern is if it actually works and if it’s gentle enough since I have super sensitive scalp. I’ve tried several commercial shampoos and they usually leave my scalp itchy and flakey, which just makes me more frustrated. Recently, I tested a couple of Ayurvedic products but didn’t see much improvement. I’m just worried that switching to Khadi might not make any difference either. I looked up “is khadi natural shampoo good” online, and I see mixed reviews—some people rave about it, while others say it didn’t do much. I also noticed they have different variants for different hair types, but how do I know which one’s right for me? Is there a specific one that you all find works best for hair fall and overall health? Or maybe a tip on how to improve scalp health while using it? Just feel kinda lost right now. Thanks a ton!

Doctors' responses

Khadi Natural Shampoo can be promising due to its blend of Ayurvedic ingredients that are often more gentle than conventional shampoos. With an array of variants such as Amla and Bhringraj for hair fall, or Neem and Aloe Vera for calming sensitive scalps, it’s crucial to choose the one that aligns with your condition. Given your sensitive scalp and hair fall issues, the Amla and Bhringraj variant might be better suited as both herbs are known in Ayurveda to nourish hair roots and support hair growth.

However, relying solely on a shampoo might not hit the mark if underlying imbalances in the body are contributing to hair loss. According to Ayurvedic principles, excessive hair fall and scalp sensitivity are often linked to exacerbated Pitta dosha, often due to factors like stress, hormonal imbalances, or an unsuited diet. Focusing on overall lifestyle adjustments and Ayurvedic remedies can aid in treating root causes.

Consider incorporating these steps alongside using the shampoo: Adapt your diet to include cooling foods like cucumbers, cilantro, and coconut water, and reduce spicy or oily foods which might aggravate Pitta. Massage your scalp gently with herbal oils such as Brahmi or Bhringraj oil before washing, which calms the scalp and promotes circulation. Ensure you’re getting enough sleep and manage stress through breath control practices like Pranayama or meditation.

Keep in mind that hair cycles naturally vary person to person, and it can take several weeks to months to notice significant benefits. Since you mentioned itchy, flaky scalp, you might want to observe how your scalp respond in first few washes. In case of persisting issues or increased hair fall, consider consulting an Ayurvedic practitioner to discern your dosha type and receive guidance tailored to your unique constitution.
