what is the best medicine for piles - #43643

Asher

I am seriously struggling with this issue and could really use some help. Lately, I’ve been dealing with piles, and it’s been super uncomfortable. Like, I never thought I would have to talk about this kinda stuff, but here we are! I started noticing it a few months ago after a long road trip where I was sitting for hours on end. At first, it felt like just a mild discomfort, but then it got a bit worse, and now I’m not sure what to do. My diet hasn’t been the best lately, lots of junk food and not enough fiber, so I guess that’s part of it? I’ve tried drinking more water, but I still feel this constant throbbing and even some bleeding sometimes. Really not fun. So, I’ve been searching for “what is the best medicine for piles?” online, but it’s kinda overwhelming with all the options out there. I've heard about some herbal remedies and homeopathic treatments, but I guess I'm torn between wanting something quick-relief versus something holistic. Would some Ayurvedic medicine be better for this? Like, do any of you have feels on “what is the best medicine for piles?” Any recommendations would be super helpful! Thanks, really!

For managing piles (hemorrhoids) through Ayurveda, it’s crucial to address both the symptoms and underlying causes like your diet and lifestyle choices. An Ayurvedic approach involves balancing your doshas, mainly Pitta and Vata, as well as enhancing your digestive fire (agni).

First, Consider starting with Triphala. It’s a traditional Ayurvedic formulation known to help regulate bowel movements due to its mild laxative properties. Before bed, mix half to one teaspoon of Triphala powder in warm water and drink it. It’s gentle and supports your digestive system steadily.

Next, Kutaja (Holarrhena antidysenterica) might be helpful, particularly if there’s bleeding. It’s known for its astringent properties. You can take Kutaja tablets—typically 500 mg—twice daily with water, or as directed by practitionar, as it works effectively for managing rakta (blood) imbalance which might be causing bleeding.

For pain and swelling, applying witch hazel or a paste of haridra (turmeric) mixed with little rose water externally can provide relief. Aloe vera gel (pure, preferably from plant) can also soothe the area.

Dietary changes are essential. Integrate more fiber in your meals with whole grains, green vegetables, and fruits; avoid excessive spicy, fried or processed foods as they aggravate Pitta. Also, staying hydrated is important—drink warm water throughout the day to assist digestion.

Additionally, incorporating Guggul, an Ayurvedic herb, known for its anti-inflammatory properties may reduce swelling and discomfort. Check with an Ayurvedic professional for correct dosage and appropriateness specific to your condition.

Remember, prolonged discomfort or significant bleeding requires medical evaluation. Even in Ayurveda, severe symptoms like those needs a comprehensive assessment to ensure effective treatment. Consider consulting with an Ayurvedic physician who can assess your unique doshic imbalances comprehensively.
