Dealing with thinning hair can be influenced by factors like PCOS, so a holistic Ayurveda approach might offer some support. Ayurveda sees hair issues as related to dosha imbalance, particularly Pitta and Kapha. Here are a few steps to incorporate into your routine:

Regulate your diet. Choose a Pitta-pacifying diet: include foods like cucumbers, leafy greens, and ghee. Try to avoid spicy, salty, and oily foods as these can increase Pitta. Drink coconut water or aloe vera juice, which can be cooling and may benefit both your hair and skin issues related to PCOS.

Herbal support. Bhringraj and Amla are potent herbs in Ayurvedic tradition known for promoting hair health. You can consume Amla in its juice or powder form daily, which can benefit hair pigmentation and growth. Applying Bhringraj oil to your scalp at least twice a week may support hair thickness and strength.

Focus on your routine. Abhyanga, or self-massage, with warm sesame or coconut oil on your scalp once a week can help. This not only nourishes your hair roots but also balances Vata dosha which often gets affected in stress related conditions like PCOS.

Balance your hormones with lifestyle choices. Aim for regular, moderate exercise, such as yoga, to balance Kapha and bolster your metabolism. Techniques like Pranayama or deep-breathing exercises can help regulate stress levels, which are crucial in managing PCOS symptoms and associated skin issues.

Though reversing grey hair is challenging, ensuring a balance in your diet with iron-rich foods and maintaining adequate hydration could subtly benefit overall hair health. While Ayurveda can be supportive, it’s also wise to consult with a healthcare professional to address the underlying PCOS.

Hair thinning, hair fall, and premature greying can often stem from underlying imbalances, particularly influenced by Pitta dosha, which can be aggravated by PCOS and stress. An effective approach will involve a combination of dietary adjustments, lifestyle modifications, and herbal remedies.

Firstly, focus on balancing your diet to pacify the Pitta dosha. Integrate cooling and nourishing foods such as cucumbers, leafy greens, and sweet fruits like grapes and pears. Avoid excessively spicy or oily foods that might aggravate Pitta. Given PCOS, keeping your sugar intake stable is crucial, so prefer complex carbohydrates and maintain regular meals.

In terms of lifestyle, manage stress as it’s a significant trigger for both PCOS and hair issues. Incorporate calming practices like yoga and pranayama. Regular physical activity will also aid in managing weight, which can help balance hormones indirectly impacting hair health.

For topical and herbal solutions, use Bhringraj oil regularly; it is known in Ayurveda for promoting hair growth and maintaining natural color. Gently massage it into the scalp weekly, leave it overnight, and wash it off in the morning using a mild herbal shampoo. Also, include Amla (Indian gooseberry) in your diet — fresh, if possible, or as a powder with water — as it supports hair pigmentation and growth.

To tackle pimples, ensure you cleanse your face with a natural cleanser like a paste of turmeric and chickpea flour. Maintain oil balance on your skin, and avoid heavy makeup.

Hormonal imbalances due to PCOS significantly affect hair, so consider consulting with a healthcare provider for integrated management, particularly if you experience severe symptoms like missed periods or excessive weight gain. Balancing hormones is paramount in an overarching strategy to stabilize hair health.
