Experiencing digestive issues like flatulence, gas pain, and constipation post-Covid recovery is not uncommon as the virus may affect gut flora or digestion. However, diagnosing SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) would require professional medical evaluation, so it’s essential to consult with your healthcare provider for a precise diagnosis. From an Ayurvedic perspective, your symptoms suggest an imbalance, likely aggravated Vata or weak agni (digestive fire).

To help manage gas and constipation, consider incorporating these Ayurvedic practices:

- Herbs: Triphala, a well-known Ayurvedic formulation, can support digestive health. Take half a teaspoon of Triphala powder in warm water at bedtime. It can help regulate bowels and ease constipation by aiding digestion. Ajwain (carom seeds) is also beneficial for counteracting gas; chew a teaspoon with a pinch of salt after meals.

- Morning Drink: Start your day with a glass of warm water with a squeeze of lemon to stimulate digestion and gently cleanse your system. Add a pinch of ginger powder if you like, as it further boosts digestive fire.

- Diet: Favor warm, cooked meals and avoid raw, cold foods. Incorporate fiber-rich foods like cooked vegetables and whole grains that are easier on digestion and promote regular bowel movements. Minimize intake of gas-producing foods like legumes and certain cruciferous vegetables if they exacerbate symptoms.

- Lifestyle: Try establishing a regular meal schedule and eating in a calm environment. Gentle exercise like yoga can enhance digestion and alleviate symptoms.

Remember that these are supportive measures; it is crucial to get a professional opinion to rule out any underlying condition like SIBO. Always combine Ayurvedic practices with your healthcare provider’s guidance.
