Doctors' responses

Understanding your condition (Ayurvedic + modern view) 1️⃣ Frequent cough & cold (>6 months) Triggered by weather change → this strongly suggests: Low immunity Kapha + Vata imbalance Possible low Ojas (body resistance) Vitamin D & B12 deficiency further weakens immune response. 2️⃣ Knee weakness (during jogging / climbing down) This usually indicates: Vata aggravation in joints Early degenerative changes Muscle weakness due to B12 & D deficiency Reduced lubrication of joints This is not severe arthritis yet, and is reversible with diet + supplements + oil therapy. Integrated Recovery Plan (Very Important) 🟢 PART 1: Stop frequent cough & cold (Core focus) Daily Ayurvedic immunity protocol: Morning (empty stomach): Giloy juice – 15–20 ml with warm water → builds long-term immunity Morning tea substitute: Boil: Tulsi leaves (4–5) Ginger (½ inch) Black pepper (1 pinch) Drink once daily Night: Chyawanprash – 1 teaspoon with warm milk (Choose sugar-free if diabetic) ⏳ Results: Reduced infections in 3–4 weeks Weather resistance in 6–8 weeks 🟢 PART 2: Correct Vitamin D & B12 deficiency (non-negotiable) Ayurveda supports, but supplements are essential here Vitamin D3 60,000 IU once weekly for 6–8 weeks Then once monthly (maintenance) 20 minutes sunlight (10–11 am) Vitamin B12 1500 mcg daily (methylcobalamin) Minimum 3 months ⚠️ Without correcting these, immunity & knee strength will NOT fully recover. 🟢 PART 3: Knee weakness & joint strength External oil therapy (very effective): Mahanarayan Taila or Ksheerabala Taila Massage knees daily at night Gentle circular strokes, 5–7 minutes Hot water bath next morning ⏳ Pain & weakness improve in 3–5 weeks 🟢 PART 4: Internal support for joints & muscles Daily supplements (choose any ONE option): Ashwagandha churna – 3 g at night with milk OR Shallaki (Boswellia) capsule – 1 capsule twice daily 🟢 PART 5: Diet corrections (very important) Increase: Warm foods Turmeric + black pepper Dates, soaked almonds Ghee (1–2 tsp/day) Vegetable soups Reduce: Cold water Curd at night Ice creams Bakery items Excess tea/coffee Exercise guidance (important for knees) ✔ Best: Walking Cycling Swimming Quadriceps strengthening ❌ Avoid for now: Jogging Stair running Jumping Resume jogging only after 6–8 weeks of strengthening.
